This is the way to go if you do video production. The value you get for this compared to a top brand c stand is unmatched. This is a heaver and bulky stand but will hold up when putting lights or cameras on it. I pair this with my smaller neewer c stands and it's so nice to have the wheels to move around. I use a minivan as my "production van" and can easily fit a couple of these in there along with my other c stands and gear. I tell all my video buddies about these from solo-man band shooting to large scale productions.

This thing will hold up my 8 ft octobox. I’m still a little fuzzy on the wheel placement, so I just keep it the higher rolly position with a sand bag. Honestly, it’s a little big for my 1000ft studio.

This is a very heavy duty - and very heavy - stand. It's not a C-stand. (C-stands have 3 legs of different sizes that rotate to fold flat.) No assembly or use instructions included, but not too hard to figure out, and long as you attach the leg extensions in the right orientation (refer to photo). Cool configuration where the boom slides into the main body when folded upright. My biggest concern is that the spacing of the legs/wheels is not wide enough given the weight of the stand and the length of the boom. For many applications (e.g., a 5' Octa on the boom), there are heavy duty wheeled light stands combined with a separate booms that are lighter, more stable, and cheaper. The Neewer build quality feels very good, but the stand itself seems more appropriate if you were putting a large parabolic on it (e.g., a 180cm or 222cm para), but then you wouldn't be using the boom. Overall, a very nice stand at a reasonable price - especially compared to a similarly-sized Manfrotto - but I wish the legs were a few inches longer.

This is a very strong stand. My only quibbles are that there’s no hook at the end for easily securing the sandbag, and the base isn’t nearly as wide as I’d expect for something this sturdy, heavy, and tall. Still works great but some minor downsides.

I bought these in the hopes that they would survive a rigorous travel schedule, and actually they are too much for travel. But, I loved the quality so much that I kept them for the studio and purchased additional Neewer C-Stands for traveling. I attached my Paul C. Buff Einsteins with large modifiers and the stands handled the weight without using the included counter balance sand bag. You cannot miss with these stands. A lot of bang for the buck.

I usually don’t review products at all, and I certainly don’t review products after only having them for a few minutes, but a light stand is pretty straightforward. It either works, or it doesn’t. This is a very sturdy stand. Yes, it weighs a lot, but that is the price you pay for this kind of rigidity. The caster wheels are bomb proof as is the rest of the stand. As for attaching the wheels, which seems to be an issue for a lot of people, the process is very easy. Before bolting the metal wheel receptacles onto the end of the legs of the stand, put the caster into the slot from below, slide the upper bolt of the caster along the slot to a position as close as you can get to the end of the stand leg (away from the floor), then use the supplied 19 mm wrench to hold the section of the caster just below the bolt, and use the actual wheel receptacle as a lever to turn the nut clockwise to tighten the nut onto the caster bolt. Repeat x3, then attach the wheel receptacles to the ends of the stand legs. Simple.

This “C Stand” beast is WAY more stand than what most people need. Here are the applicable upside stats:It’s VERY heavy. It’s very easy to torque down all for the levers. It’s very operable at a height height. You could easily build a single stand 1.) Key light 2.) hair light 3.) boom mic 4.) camera stand 5.) toothbrush station…all in one. It’s easy to weight it down with sand bags. The extension arm is long…like VERY longIt has a veritable attachment insert or baby-pin end.…probably a lot more there to unpack. Here are the applicable downside stats:It’s VERY heavy...like two man/woman lift…like regret you were ever born heavy. You will NEED to weight this stand down if you want to extend the boom arm.

When I ordered this, I was thinking of something closer to a light stand, or a c-stand level of sturdiness. When I received the package, I thought they had shipped 3 or 4 by mistake by the weight of the box. This is a seriously sturdy piece of lighting gear - heavy and solid and perfect for studio use. Please note: this is NOT a "pack it down to the local rose garden for senior pics" sort of gear. This is a "set it up in your studio and never move it out again" light stand. Unless you have assistants you don't like. Then by all means pack it up and move it several times a day!Very well made, only assembly was the wheels, which I had to look at the images on-line to get just right. Had it up and running in 10 minutes. A 200% improvement in stability over my c-stands, which I thought were pretty stable already. And I think the price is good - it was low enough that I bought it in a fit of frustration with my current boom reach - much more and I would've thought more about it. Glad I did.
