Excellent camera arm for the money. I bought this and a supposedly comparable competitor's product. This one was not only studier and stable, but was also better build quality. The arm doesn't rotate at all on the top 2 sections of the arm which I originally thought might be a hindrance but it actually works quite well and can be adjusted quite easily. Putting it together was easy and the product has incredible stability and strength. The stand is a great size for medium/large desks in my opinion. In my case, it was a set it and forget it setup, but I also don't think it would be difficult to adjust it frequently and all the joints are strong. Best purchase for my camera setup I use for work and content creation.

This makes for easy setup and angling for magnifier or phone to video detail work. I use it to work on circuit boards. Just make sure you have a solid base/table to attach it to otherwise it will shake with the table. That’s not an issue with the clamp but the table.

**Disappointing and Unusable**Unfortunately, the NEEWER Flexible Overhead Camera Mount Desk Stand had the same issue as other similar products I've tried—it simply couldn't hold my phone securely. The arm was unstable, and any slight movement caused it to wobble excessively, making it unusable for my needs.I had to return it because it completely failed to deliver on its promise of being a sturdy, reliable stand. Save your money and look for a higher-quality alternative.

Pros:- Decent build quality- Metal tubings- Strong plastic components- Surprisingly sturdy- Tight locking joints with gears- Rotatable on both ends- Ideal for lights and phones- Relatively lightweightCons:- Additional pin on ¼ inch camera screw mountThe NEEWER Flexible Overhead Camera Mount Desk Stand with Phone Holder is of decent build quality. The tubings are metal, but everything else seems to be made of strong plastic. It is not very heavy but surprisingly sturdy. Each joint has gears on both sides which lock the joint very tightly at different angles. When locked, I tried to bend it with my hands, but it didn’t collapse. I am impressed. It is much stronger than a typical friction lock. The mount is rotatable on both ends, which helps to place a light or a phone exactly where you want it. It is strong enough to hold a DSLR, but it will vibrate a little, so I think the mount is better for lights or phones. The only feature I don’t like about the mount is the additional pin on the ¼ inch camera screw mount at the end. This additional pin seems to be a NEEWER standard. While I agree that this pin would lock the LED light rotation, most of my camera gears don’t have this additional hole for the pin. It would be wonderful if the pin were retractable and lockable, making it backward compatible with non-NEEWER video lights and accessories. All in all, this is a sturdy mount without the heavyweight, and it is ideal to hold my LED video light. I am happy with the order.

The problem is all the gears that move have so much space between them it’s almost impossible to lock the camera where you need it without it moving as soon as you turn the knobs and let go. Unless you want to use a completely straight right angle (which negates the point of the arm being flexible) this thing is useless.

I REALLY like this! the rotational locks at the bottom and at the head are really effective. The other two joints that provide a pivot on the same plane lock very well and are easily controlled with a knob. Once they are tightened, they really do stay. The joints seem to have a serrated edge on each piece that helps take away much of the force need ted to hold it in place, shifting the load from a friction hold to that of a compressive load on the teeth in the joint. This is a considerably more reliable way of doing it. Once this arm is locked, it locks solidly and does not slowly droop over time with a heavy load, which this arm can really handle.I am thoroughly impressed with this arm! I can easily recommend this to anyone, especially since this is at a price point of less than fifty dollars! Personally, I think this quality can cost more. If I was the manufacturer and could turn a good profit at this price, I would keep offering such an awesome price since it would really gain some customer's loyalty!OVERALL: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Da man die Gelenke nicht drehen kann ist der Nutzen sehr eingeschränkt.

The glue on the rubber grip started to allow the grip to slide around. Not a huge problem, but it might eventually fall off. I ended up supergluing the rubber on.
