Pro: Massive increase in resistance and you get a cooling fanCon: more annoying to move around and store because it extends the platform of your rollersneutral: just as loud as any other wind trainer except this doesn't have the risk of the fan flying off and embedding itself in the wall like my old blackburn wind trainer.

This adds quite a bit or resistance. I used to ride at about 50km/h at 280-300 watts. With the wind unit, I'm down to about 30km/h at 300 watts. The extra resistance is what I was looking for, but I didn't expect it to have such an impact on the smoothness of the ride. Even at high cadence, I feel like the resistance makes it jerky. I wish I would have gone with a flywheel instead. Also, this thing is really noisy. I already rode with a large fan blowing on me, and I figured this thing wouldn't be any louder than that, but it certainly is. Even with the volume cranked on TV, I can't really hear it over the noise of the add-on fan.

As good as advertised. It makes a huge difference with training.

Excellent product. A bit dated design. Flywheel should be integrated into the unit as adding a flywheel will make a set of rollers take far more space than necessary.Belt is easy to remove if one places the belt onto the fan first and rolls the belt onto the roller like a chain onto a cog.Fan noise is significant but that is the caveat of using a fan. Better resistance with more noise. Some say it makes the ride less smooth. Smoothness is a factor of ones pedal stroke. The fan provides supplemental cooling but is not a panacea.Should have a quick release to facilitate folding as the fan really makes the rollers a permanent fixture in ones home.As a resistance unit it is worth every penny.

Over price. Quality construction. Poor design. First of all, the wind coming out of this fan is very narrowed, thus it doesn't cover that much area of your body. Second of all, the LOUD. Lastly, it's over priced. Recommendation, go buy a normal fan.

A must have for Kreitler rollers. Adds much needed resistance to indoor training.

Awesome. Used to put towels under rollers. Headwind changed how I train. Much more realistic, smooth and enjoyable. Plus not dripping sweat every time since fan is that strong and don't need additional fans either. Great product.

This fan is an important addition to the Kreitler rollers, if they are being used for training. The fan attaches quickly to the rollers and allows the user to choose the resistance setting. This resistance is provided by spinning the fan by use of a pulley attached to the roller that the front wheel is on. Added bonus, the air pulled through the fan can be positioned to cool the rider. Disadvantages: The resistance level cannot be changed safely while riding, and attaching the headwind fan makes it harder to fold up and store the rollers.
