There was a time when this brush was one of the best sable/ synthetic blend brushes around. It was a good value for the money. The bristle blend was of good quality bristles for both the sable and the synthetic. There were enough bristles that it held color and water well. The handle was of firm wood with a good weight and balance. AND NOW- DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY- IT'S AWFUL. The bristles are not enough, the sable & synthetic bristles are both of a lower quality. It does not hold color enough, the separate and even getting one proper stroke is an ordeal. They dry out fast and feather at the end.To make matters worse the handke is very light and flimsy now, the wood is so light that it feels it will break in your hand and there is no weight or proper shape for a grip anymore. What a downfall for a good brush!! I guess W&N it's going the way of most brands- no longer wanting to uphold thier own standards and quality. I will definitely not be buying this line of thier brushes ever again.
