Great for oil painting. The handle is long. the bristles are durable and don’t fall out. I just leave it soaking in walnut oil so it is always convenient to use.

It holds a lot of water for wet-on-wet and same for a large amount of paint to do a wash.

Not at all pleased with this brush. It holds paint poorly thereby leaving lines with broken sections instead of long continuous lines one would expect. I’ve had other riggers which I’ve used in the past with much more pleasing results and cost substantially less than this one. Big disappointment!! Good

I ordered this brush a few years ago, it has one bristle left on it. I have another one being sent. It isn’t a long lasting, top quality brush, but I use it frequently

When wet, this brush does not keep its original flat shape but more like a lettering brush like the shape of series 1150. I did not like that at first until I have found out it is an ideal brush for painting the water ripples. I do not have a very steady hand so when using normal round brush, I have the trouble to control the stroke width evenly. Since this brush has long straight hair without the wide belly, I can now paint the water ripple confidently. The results are satisfactory.

I am new to sign painting and I ordered a few da Vinci brushes after doing some research. I had also purchased a few less expensive brushes just to practice with, and the difference was quite apparent. da Vinci brushes are well-crafted.

im a relative newbie to acrylic painting so i dont have alot to compare to but it is definitly good quality well made brush and i prefer the softer "smoother" easier gliding feel this series has compared to the NOVA and a few of the other da vinci brushes ive tried although they are quality brushes as well.

I bought three da Vinci brushes and love them all! I had not heard of the brand before, but would recommend them to anyone. I am using acrylic paints. Have not tried them with oils.
