Works great. Not as fast as some cable sheers but cuts clean. Doing a job with a ton of s.o. Cord. Doesn’t nick the conductor insulation as long as it’s set correctly

Work great for big gauges, not as much on small gause as the blade tend to make spiral cut on the sheating

Used this type of cutter alot on SOOW cable. Got this one and for some reason it cuts a "spiral" cut. I do not like this. I just need a straight circle cut. Will try on different cables and maybe change my review.

Bought this tool after first buying the similarly priced Weicon stripper that looks similar. The difference in quality is stark. The Weicon, despite the German engineering, is 60 grams of plastic crap. The only adjustment is blade height, and that feels loose. Inconsistent performance. The Stedi model feels solid in the hand, and weighs almost 3x as much. Adjustments for blade height and cable size. Adjustments feel solid, like they'll stay in place. Pick this one.

great tool but the cutter is not straight, so it will spiral down the cable in one direction. i make sure i go counter clockwise with mine so my thumb keeps it in line. mine is probably defective but it's alright

I’ve been using the STEDI cable strippers for a few months now, and they’ve absolutely earned a solid 5-star rating. As someone who’s used the Greenlee 1903 strippers extensively in the past, I can confidently say STEDI holds its own—and even outperforms Greenlee in a few key areas.First off, let’s talk value: replacement blades for the Greenlee 1903 run anywhere from $60 to $80, which is steep and honestly frustrating over time. In comparison, STEDI’s replacement blades cost only around $7 to $8. That alone makes a huge difference for anyone using these tools regularly. But it’s not just about price—STEDI’s performance is just as impressive. The tool is reliable, consistent, and easy to use. It handles various cable types without any issues and maintains precision even after repeated use. The build quality feels solid, and it gives you confidence that it won’t let you down in the middle of a job.For anyone considering a dependable, cost-effective alternative to the Greenlee 1903, the STEDI cable stripper is a fantastic choice. You’re getting great performance and saving significantly on upkeep—hard to beat that combination.

Was using the Jonard strippers work provided but after a while they deteriorated. Purchased these to test before spending 2 times more for another paid of jonard and these work perfectly out of the box. No adjustments needed. Been using these strippers for 2 weeks now and I’m buying another pair just to have just in case. Tried different strippers from different companies on here and these are by far the best I found for this price.
