Good quality US product. It strips smaller gauge wires accurately with no nicking. This model handles 14-24 gauge solid conductor and 26-16 gauge stranded which is perfect for the electronics hobbyist. They make another model for larger conductor wire.

I have used a variety of wire strippers over the years, including the curved handle Kleins (which I thought I liked initially). But, coming back to the Ideals, I realize I prefer the shorter length and lighter weight. They are no less comfortable than the Kleins in my opinion. Still sharp...

They work well for their designed purpose. If you’re doing A LOT of wire cutting, I’d probably buy a higher end pair simply because they are tiring on your hand after a while.
