Well made and by far the best value in strings for a 6 string bass. Price, brand recognition, quality make these the total package. My new go to string for my 6 string bass.

I am now the THIRD person on this product page who has experienced this: Same problem, same string. I'm not sure what SIT foundations does with their .60 D strings to make them unravel at the ball end apparently as often as it does (check reviews from other websites too, this isn't just a bad batch). The bottom four strings (red ball end) are SIT, the top two are NYXLs. What's also funny is I don't even tune up to standard! I tuned up to a C and the string just bit it. I can now say in my 30+ years of bass playing that I have "broken" a string.Breakage issues aside, my experience with the 5/6 strings has been... Underwhelming. They are your standard garden variety hexcore roundwounds, in terms of both sound and feel. To the guy that said these are so similar to Dunlop SB's, I couldn't disagree more. Like comparing ripe exotic mangos to crab apples. Shoulda spent my money (the exact same amount, mind you) on the Dunlop's instead. Don't believe the hype of certain paid endorsers (I'm looking at you, Lobster guy).

I am pretty new to playing bass. I have tried a few brands of strings on my little family of basses. These are outstanding strings. They are very well priced, especially for a 6-string bass. They even challenge my preference for flat wound strings. For what its worth the SIT Foundations strings have my strongest recommendation.

I got lighter strings for a cheap 6 string bass I purchased and I really enjoy these. The tone is nice and bright but can still cut through the rest of the instruments in the band. The low notes don’t have quite the growl that thicker strings will give you but that’s ok for my application. These are comfortable strings to play. I haven’t played them for more than 4-5 hours so far so not sure when the tone will drop off but so far I’m very pleased and will buy again!

Got this set for my six string, and I gotta say they’ve really impressed me. They sound great in every mix I’ve tried. May be switching to these from Ernie balls!

A well-known brand purchased at a very affordable price—when it comes to a six-string setup, nothing beats its incredible value for money. The sound is crisp and bright, with beautifully rich low frequencies. I hope it remains this affordable, as I’ll definitely keep coming back for more!

I was converting one of my 5 string basses from B - G tuning to E - C. The least expensive way I find to do this is to buy a 6 string set and use the five upper strings, discarding the B. These SIT strings do the job. My favorite online YouTube bass reviewer, LowEndLobster, recommends these strings and that's why I started to use them. They never disappoint. I now choose SIT over my former go-to string, Rotosound Swing Bass 66s. Less expensive, great harmonics and high frequency response. Nickel is easier on the frets too.

The .060 string unraveled as I was putting these strings on. In addition, there was a blemish on the .120 string and overall, these fell like poor quality strings. The remaining strings don’t have the same great “new string sound” as, say, a new pair of d’addarios. I’m disappointed ☹️
