Packaging graphics show a flat smooth surface on these strings. They are anything but that. These strings resemble Fender 58's. A lumpy surface not nearly as slick as La Bella or D Addario tape wounds. The tape winding is very fragile. It cut very easily stringing thru the bridge and one string is ruined basically, tho I was able to stop it totally unwinding with super glue.
