I bought this because it was the only portable amp on Amazon with a good Snr. I use this with my qudelix dac. The volume on its own leaves a little to be desired but it sounds perfect when I plug it into my big 250 dollar magnius amp stupid volume with the least noise I've had so far. (My desktop dac is mid, sb g6).(Edit) I have changed my mind about the volume being a bit low it has plenty of power especially considering my headphones are 300 ohm (hd 6xx)(Edit2) a few months later it has stopped working, it only plays one channel and cuts out entirely if I push onto the volume wheel, the soldering is a little loose because the volume wheel is only held in by a small notch between perpendicular layers of pcb, that notch should be made thinner or a different method of reinforcement needs to be used to protect the solder connections.
