Either Otis quality standards have declined or these are counterfeit. They unravel, tons of fabric dust, and they are very thin. On every firearm I have cleaned with them I have had to stack two together just to make it thick enough to swab the barrel. I would not recommend.

These are just the patches, recommend you try out the Otis Cleaning system. I converted our Boy Scout camp to this method... and convert most that see it being done.

If you use the Otis system then it pays to buy these in bulk. Save some money and should last a long while.

Not too much to say about cleaning patches. They work with the Otis system and are of good quality. Only wish they came in mixed sizes. These patches say all caliber, but be very careful using them on smaller bore sizes. On a 22 or 223 they are almost too big. I have been tempted to cut them in half when cleaning my 5.56. Pulling one through the bore with an Otis cable, it is easy to get one stuck part way down the barrel.On larger bore guns they are great.Going with quantity is the way to go, and the Otis system is really good. Just wish they had a 1000 order of assorted sizes.

Not to brag but the folks at Otis have hands down the best cleaning patches I've ever used. I would never had known about this company or given it any attention, but a gun purchase changed my belief system. A Kimber I had purchased had these particular patches in the case & I began using them. I was so impressed with the patches that I took out my other firearms & cleaned them. I thought that since I'm so meticulous cleaning my guns that they were absolutely clean, but Otis patches proved I wasn't thoroughly cleaning the weapons. Otis as outright earned my trust & business.

These cleaning patches work for everything i own from a .223 to a 12 gauge. Check out the usage video on the the Otis web site to ensure sure you follow their instructions for best results. I got a bunch of these with a cleaning kit and now i won't use anything else.

This is a clever innovation. I can often do a whole gun with just two patches because each one can be potentially used 6 times. Where you put the jag through will determine its diameter. This one is a bit tight for .22 calibers but you can make it work. Very flexible. I have their heavy-duty portable kit and with something not much bigger than half a coke can I can clean every gun I have. These are the patches I put in that kit. Together it's the best portable solution I've found.

I have used the "conventional" rod, patch, and brush method of cleaning for nearly fifty years. Since I tried the Otis system, the old rods have been put in a box. The Otis method provides such a deep cleaning that I will use no other method to clean my weapons. The patches in this review are the best deal on the market, and buying by the thousand is the right way to go. I've read other reviews that say they cannot get the claimed six passes with one patch, but I have not found this to be the case. By using the Otis patch, one can get three to six passes with ease and this makes the higher cost of the Otis patch equal to, or greater, than the old style square patch on a rod.Since this review is to be on the patches and not the entire system, I will say this in closing; By using these patches one can truely get a clean weapon as they are a tight weave and do not fray and leave lint and other fabric in the bore. I clean everything from .22 caliber to .45, and the all caliber patch will fit them all! Amazing, and all the fouling is pulled AWAY from the action and the chambers and bore are left spotless. I am impressed.
