These are well-made stands and especially at this price point. I got 2 for around $43. The only reason I’m not giving these a 5* is the rods stick a bit when you’re raising the stand during setup and to raise lights. This is NOT a deal breaker however. I use these for a background light and hairlight. Comfortable with them for that purpose.

This stand is a dream come true for anyone looking to level up their studio or on-location shoots. The build quality is excellent—sturdy but lightweight—making them easy to transport without sacrificing stability. For the price, this stand delivers exceptional value. Whether you’re a beginner or a professional, the Neewer Light Stands are a solid investment for your gear collection.

Finally, a sturdy stand that is WELL worth the price. These aren't your average stand, they are steel, and heavy, but I no longer worry about putting my lights up 13' and swaying in the breeze. I have many stands from Manfrotto, Avenger, etc. I have C stands, drop spreader stands, regular light stands, but these are now my go-to. I shoot sports on location, in gyms, on fields, and wherever the teams are at. I load them up in a wagon so weight isn't generally my biggest concern, but stability is and these are the most stable I have found. They are also spring-loaded, so they wont crash down if let down quickly(still wouldn't recommend you do that). The friction knobs are plastic, and that's what usually breaks on my stands, but they seem to be well built, and hope if I do need replacements I can find them. 100% would recommend to anyone looking for a sturdy stand.

Heavier and bigger than what I am replacing, but clearly will last. The previous one is good for a year with daily use. I've worked remotely for a decade and a well placed phone is always a better Zoom than the up the nose angle from the laptop camera.

This is heavier and much more sturdy than most light stands. The tradeoff is weight so I would recommend this for fixed studios, but not for travel purposes *as light stands*.I have used these in place of C-Stands and am quite impresses with their sturdiness. For travel purposes, I'd consider traveling with these *as C-Stands*, and use them alongside lightweight light stands. There is a simple adapter (https://amzn.to/3MOB79H) that makes the top connecter like that of a C Stand that works great. I have used these stands with this connectors and Glide Gear Overhead Camera System (https://amzn.to/3MOB79H) with great success.I've really come to light these stands when extra studyness is required. Changing my 4 star review to a 5.

This tripod is on the lower side of quality with the price tag that goes with it. However, I would say that this tripod is good enough for a lot of application. It is still pretty sturdy and quite lightweight (which is mostly a positive feature).I do recommend the product. It is good enough for professional lighting equipment and it is very reliable so far.

Broke 10 months after I bought it .... And to be fair the only thing I ever put on it is a speed light. I am a wedding photographer, so I do tend to use these frequently. It has been to maybe 15 weddings and only held a speed light. The little bless black plastic piece at the neck just popped off as it was shattered. I've had a manfrotto for years that is still perfect. So needless to say I'm a little disappointed that despite its light workload, it only made it to 10 months old. I can still use it, but it's not as stable and sturdy as I would like. I would never put anything but a speed light on it now. My manfrotto is what I use for my big softboxes or anything that is heavier and I need to be reliable beyond a doubt. I spent less money on this knowing it was only going to hold speed lights and go to weddings for that very purpose. Nonetheless I'm still a little disappointed that at 10 months it no longer is capable of functioning at 100%. The manfrotto is 4 years old and has been to hundreds of weddings and still works perfectly. I understand you get what you pay for, and I'm okay with that. But this is just a warning to others to be careful what you put on one of these if you are going to move them around and use them frequently. It's very heavy duty. It's actually very heavy compared to my others and it's very stable. I'm just very disappointed at the broken plastic piece after 10 months. ....

Soddisfattissimo.

This light stand bundle is an excellent value for the price. The construction quality isn’t skimped, and deploying the stand gets a little assistance from internal springs. If affordability is high on the priority list, this is a good choice. They are not, however, terribly sturdy. I mounted LED lights to my stands, units that weigh in at about four pounds (well within the published weight limit) and with the stands extended, there is sway that has to settle out before the lights are useable. That’s not a problem if the stands can be placed and left alone, but if the setup changes regularly, the sway is going to be a factor. That is not a criticism of the stands at this price point, but it does bear keeping in mind when making a purchase decision. The lights I’m using fit well within the stands’ footprint so I didn’t worry about them being unsafe in themselves, but added weight to these lightweight stands is obviously added security against inadvertent bumps and brushes.
