Mounted a Honey Badger with a Goddox soft box to the top of the wall.Made sure to hit the studs a couple time with the screws. It has held strong so far "6 months"Really clears up the congestion in a high traffic area of the studio.

DO NOT BUY. I used this to mount a 5lb kinetic sculpture from the ceiling. When tightening it the threaded bolt broke off inside of the mount for the sculpture. Now I am going to have to buy a broken bolt extractor and go through a huge hassle of removing it from inside the thread...

Looks good and you can feel comfortable that it will work for a very long time and your equipment will be safe. Heavy duty for sure.

I bought two to mount a pair of strobes with softboxes to the walls in my studio. There were less expensive options but something that holds expensive gear high up on a vertical surface wasn't something I was willing to risk cheaping out on. They have been mounted for 9 months now with absolutely no issues. Just make sure you put screws into a stud if you're going to mount something heavy.

I actually don't use this thing at all for its intended purpose. I use it inverted, with the thread screw inserted into a light stand so that the flat mounting plate acts as a small table for me to place items I want to photograph, like beverage glasses. It's heavy, to the point where it might outweigh most of the cameras you intend to attach to it, so be sure you are mounting it onto a stud or other solid surface that can withstand the weight. It's also very solid, all metal construction. The mounting plate is 1/8" thick, and that probably the thinest part on this thing. It sure will never bend or break.

Bought this to replace a mount that had the vertical rod attached with a screw. That one wobbled. This all-welded design is much more sturdy when holding a heavy camera or light.
