These are a well designed product with snap rings for the pivot points. The metal is a good solid thickness and the function smoothly. However, fit and finish need improvement. The staple head was not aligned perpendicular to the shell and the shell wasn't formed fully. The result was the staple head is sloppy in the shell and doesn't make perpendicular contact with the anvil. After some forming work in a vise i was able to get the shell much closer to the head and improved the alignment about 90%. The 3 anvils included are stamped with super rough shear lines on the edges. I belt sanded them off. The pointy anvil nose was slightly bent and the edges had rough burrs defeating the clean puncturing thru the aside of a carton. There is no storage area for the extra anvils. They are held on with 2 screws and it takes a few minutes to switch them out. I wish the box was made differently so it could function as a storage carton for the extra anvils and the gun but it is made for retail display purposes. I'm afraid i will loose the extra anvils.

I almost subtracted a star for having no instructions. But it's so great, that I had to give it 5 stars.I got it to staple two layers of cardboard together, and it works great.And what surprises me it HOW EASILY it staples. Like its paper, not cardboard.Do be aware: like someone else pointed out, it does not take a whole length of the Bostitch staples.So, just break them in half, and easily insert the partial length.Love this.

Great stapler for padded air-kraft shipping mailers. We also use it for stapling cardboard together around fragile items to be shipped. Heavy duty, easy to load and squeeze. Multipurpose. Comes with 3 anvils, perfect!
