Easy to use scale, and it seems to be pretty accurate. The numbers are easy to read on the display. It looks nice and fits for a modern kitchen in terms of style. It works well to show you the weight measurements you need based on the weighting system needed.

What I like about this kitchen scale: better than average capacity, 0.1g accuracy, lit display that shows large units in better than .1 precision, dedicated buttons, % function. What I don’t like: operation is a little buggy, doesn’t like the weight in one point- prefers it more widely distributed. This does .1g accuracy like my WeightWatchers scale, but unlike that relic, I like how it shows three decimal places for larger units, so it retains that level of accuracy in ounces, rather than a single decimal place regardless of the units. The style is more technician than chef. Its ‘Casio watch’ looks are more suited for my workbench than my kitchen. What’s buggy is the overall feel. The instructions are succinct, printed large enough to read on good paper, but they didn’t instruct me adequately regarding what to expect. This scale has two on/off’s. It has a switch in the back and a button on the front. I don’t understand the need for two. I assume the hard switch is to preserve battery charge; the booklet failed to explain when it’s appropriate to use one or the other. This beeps loudly at every press, unless deactivated via a precise series of button holds and taps found in the booklet. There’s other hidden settings that can be changed which I did not learn about. This has a battery slot on the bottom. I discovered it empty after testing the scale, it threw me for a loop. Then I found the USBC port and plugged it in, and nothing happened until I turned the switch back on, then the screen lit and the beep returned, and I could see a battery icon charging. I left it for a while, checked it, and it was dark. Turning it back on, it was still charging. I couldn’t tell if it had been charging during that off time. When I unplugged it, the battery icon would flash like a low battery warning. It did the same thing again after being plugged all day, but I didn’t replug it and after maybe 15 seconds it blinked and showed full charge. The AAA slot is for when the lithium no longer works, it’s not meant for use until then.It barely uses any power, so it’ll be interesting to see how this lasts compared to the ones using cell batteries. The accuracy I tested with a 50.000g weight and it showed 50.0 right away. But then as I was taking a photo, it jumped to 49.9. It returned to 50.0 briefly then 50.1. Not being touched, wasn’t jumping when I blew on it, it just wasn’t displaying a steady read. I tried different placements, moving tables, and it was jumping +/- 0.1g about half the time. When I was using random objects, all of which had a wider base, less weight spread over a wider area, the readings were stable.I like that it has individual buttons for tare, units, power and %. The % button is something I’m not used to using but is very convenient for kitchen chemistry. The idea is you weigh your flour, then everything you add is shown as a percent of that total. I can use that for tinted epoxy where the color adds to the resin and needs to stay within a certain percentage of balance. I like the ability to weigh an entire gallon at once. This has a 10+lb(5kg) capacity, which is the feature I need the most. My old one only did 1kg and I’d max it out within a single solo cup.

This is a great scale! I checked its accuracy with my other two scales and they all weigh about the same, so it likely comes calibrated well. The directions pamphet describes how to recalibrate if needed. The directions overall were fantastic! They were easy to read, understand and see (large type). The scale was super easy to use right out of the box and is basically self-explanatory but the directions came in handy to do certain extra functions like turn the auto-off on/off (which is something I really love about this product) and to turn the sounds off. I also love that it is rechargeable, so no need for batteries. The surface is a nice size/shape for measuring more items than my current scale, which I love (6x6 inches). And it's great that it can measure up to 10lbs. Great product!

I immediately tried this scale out and I am very please with how easy it is to use and the large, bright display. The settings are all very intuitive and the percentage function is easy to use. It came almost fully charged so it was nice to be able to use it immediately. I did have to consult the manual to learn how to turn off the confirmation "beep" that is the default when you press any key - it was easy to turn that feature off. As you can see in the photo, the display is really nice and this scale will be put to use immediately!
