Currently, we're a family of multiple scales, so I was able to check the accuracy and reliability of this. My daughter uses one for accurate measurements of ingredients when baking for pastry school. I use mine some for cooking but also for weighing packages for mailing. With my son home from college, he uses a scale for meal prepping to make sure his portion sizes are accurate for healthy weight gain. This will be perfect for him to take back to college since he'll be cooking more. Regardless of the use, small measurements of ingredients, larger measurements of portions, or package weights, this scale proved to be accurate in any unit of measurement. The functionality is great as the surface is a good size without the scale being bulky and the display is easy to read. The automatic shut-off feature helps preserve battery life. It measures quickly and cleans easily.

The Yusshn Digital Kitchen Scale - Precision Food Scale for Cooking is a great little scale. I love the size. It is small (but not too small) and thin, which makes it perfect for storage. I’ve just started baking, so I really appreciated the value of it considering I’m trying to build up my supplies. It’s extremely easy to use and comes with very clear instructions. It also actually comes with standard AAA batteries, making replacing them a breeze. This would make a great gift for any of your friends or family who love to bake. I would order again for a gift.

This kitchen scale is fairly easy to use and has a bright easy to read display. I weighed a packaged item with this scale and my daughter's scale and found that after taring this scale was a tad off - although not enough to be a problem for my purposes. I like that it uses triple A batteries instead of a button battery. It goes well with my stainless steel appliances and I am happy with it.

This digital kitchen scale has a larger base than others I have seen. The read out is clear and the unit shuts off automatically if left idle, saving battery life.The unit comes with 2 AAA batteries, so when you receive this unit, you are ready to begin using it. I love that it has the tare function. Set the weight function to lbs. oz. ml. kg. g. whatever your need is, put your empty container on the scale platform, press tare, and it resets to 0 giving you an accurate measurement of the ingredient.I have always used cups and teaspoons, tablespoons to measure. I have come across so many recipes that use grams and ml, so having this scale is a game changer for me. But beyond recipes, you can measure out serving portions if you are watching your food intake. You can weigh parcels before sending them so you know exactly how much the package weighs and how much postage will be. No more waiting in line at the post office, print your prepaid shipping label at home, knowing that the weight and postage will be accurate.For $11.99 at time of review, I cannot stress more how much this scale will help you in more ways than one.

I picked up this kitchen scale because I really wanted something smaller and better-looking than my old one. It usually lives right on my counter next to the coffee maker, and I use it all the time for weighing out coffee. Plus, it's essential for portioning my cat's special diet food and adding supplements to my dog's meals.This scale really impressed me with its compact design. It's super slim, just over half an inch thick, and barely weighs half a pound. The top is a sleek, flat piece of stainless steel, which makes it super easy to wipe clean, and it gives it a really modern look. The LED readout is bright and easy to see; it shows up with clear white numbers on a mostly black background, even though some product photos might make it look blue.It's spot on when it comes to accuracy. I double-checked it with my personal calibration weights and even cross-referenced it with my old kitchen scale, and it's perfectly precise. It also offers a few other handy weight measurements like pounds: ounces, kilograms, and fluid ounces. If you're looking for a smaller, more modern kitchen scale, I would highly recommend this.

I use digital scales a lot in cooking and baking. I'm a self-proclaimed snob when it comes to accurate measurements.I got a few requirements, clear and easy to read display, large surface to place plates or bowls on, accurate, and repeatable.The surface is large enough for my smaller mixing bowls and small plates. The display is easy to read even in direct sunlight. I have a calibration weight from another scale and this one was within 1g. All that's left was repeatability.To check repeatability, I place a volume of something in a bowl - usually flour, and I weigh it. Then I remove the bowl and place it back on the scale and make sure the same number comes up. Then I remove some of the contents and do it again. And again and again and again. The scale has proven to be incredibly repeatable, at least as far as the display allows down to 1g precision.My only gripe is when I'm weighing something very light such as vital gluten or psyllium husk powder, not having a 0.1 granularity makes these small amounts basically impossible.If you don't need to go sub 1g, this is a fantastic scale.

This is a nice scale at a very good price. It is small and sleek and stores easily. It came with batteries which is a huge plus. The display is bright and it measures ounces, pounds, kilograms, grams, fluid ounces and milliliters. I'm not sure what magic happens for it to be able to measure volume, but I am scientifically and metric system impaired, so will leave that to you to figure out. Reading the instructions would probably help, or in my case, maybe not haha. It will work great for what we need it for, which is shipping weight for small packages and splitting up hamburger meat we buy in bulk. I would definitely recommend it for its accuracy, flexibility and slim design that makes it easy to store.
