The amp works good. I bought it to boost the level from my TV headphone jack, to drive a set of PC speakers with Subwoofer. The added gain from the headphone amp ( 150mW ), dramatically increased the sound quality. And I no longer have to turn the TV volume to 100% just to hear. It is definitely worth the price, and then some.

Simple multiple output amplifier.Requires power to pass any sound.By ear it seams to 2x the volume adjusted all the way up. Is about 1x volume at halfway.I currently only use 2 outputs but volume does seem consistent and not fluctuating when adjusting other output knobs. So good for both increasing and decreasing volume.Easy to disasemle and repair if needed.Recommend for more stationary applications.I think the 3.5 outlet was already loose because would have occasional crackling. I broke it off completely by accidently setting something on it...Resoldering two contacts made it like new again.

The plug makes it less portable, so it’s not like you can use this on an airplane or car ride to watch movies w someone. But I’m using it so my son and I can both listen to his electric drum kit. Works great for somewhat stationary headphone mixing.

I read the reviews for this unit and some others on Amazon very closely, but nothing really answered my questions except buying one and trying it. My need was to amplify the sound coming out of the phone jacks on my desktop computer. Whether the problem was my old ears or low sound board output, I was having trouble getting enough volume to my earbuds. One of the Amazon reviews indicated that this external amplifier might be the solution. It works great! I plugged a cable into the audio output jack on the back of my computer and into the input jack of the unit, plugged the 110 VAC to 5V DC converter output into the unit, and plugged a set of Apple earbuds into one of the headphone jacks. With the volume turned to zero, I inserted the earbuds into my ears and slowly increased the volume. Voila! The sound quality was great and the volume knobs worked well and with zero noise. Plenty of volume was available at about 25% of full volume range. With no input (even at zero volume) I occasionally get very minimal "idle noise." This is barely audible, but a little annoying if you like to keep your earbuds in when not listening to an audio or video file. If it bothers me I take the earbuds out until I need them. What can you expect for this kind of money? By the way I tried all of the 6 channels and found that all of them have occasional idle noise. It just comes with the design. So what? I can sometimes hear idle noise from my Fishman Loudbox vocal/guitar amp about 10 feet away when it is idling between songs and it's a well respected amp. I wish it (and this little amp) didn't have any noise at idle, but I'm still very happy to have all the clean volume I can use when they're working. How good is the audio quality of this unit? I listen to streamed chamber music concerts with my Sony Studio Monitor headphones or Apple earbuds and I am very satisfied with the resulting audio quality. Same for the kind of rock/folk/etc. music I listen to. I'm not the right guy to ask it the bass response is good, because I don't like as much percussive bass content as some people. It's probably more a function of the headphones you use anyway. Yes, they should have put the earphone jacks on the front of the unit, in front of the corresponding volume pots, and the audio input and 5 VDC power jacks on the back, but I can live with that at this price. So can you.

This thing is actually pretty good for the price. I like the analog volume control, but sometimes it makes a noise that sounds like something is shorting internally. It was absolutely fine for a month and 3 days before the noise started. This is what I get for buying cheap stuff I guess. I've stopped using it because I'm slightly concerned it might start a fire. The PSU that comes with it should NOT be trusted for electrical isolation. It is the cheapest, most bare bones power supply device I have ever seen.

I hesitated to buy this due to some negative reviews, but when I saw them marked down to a ridiculously low price I gave it a shot and bought two of them. It turned out to be one of my better purchases.I have not experienced any line noise from using them that could not be solved with a ground loop isolator.I've happily paid twice as much for devices that do exactly the same thing, only with 1/4" connectors. These work fine and if you have problems with them they can probably be solved with a ground loop isolator, and that problem would exist regardless of the device because ground loops are not device specific but pertain to your electrical system.

The sound quality of this amplifier is impressive. It’s clear and crisp audio without noticeable distortion, even at higher volume levels. The individual volume control for each channel is a fantastic feature. It allows everyone to set their preferred volume level, catering to individual preferences and ensuring that no one’s ears are blasted with overly loud music.I didn’t like that I had to remove the volume knobs and adjusted them to reflect the correct zero to max volume setting. I got another one with 1/4” inputs and had to do the same thing, so I’m not sure if that’s how they all come from manufacturing but it’s a bit of a inconvenience. Be aware you may also have to do this for precise control over the audio output, ensuring that you get the desired. You can easily connect a smartphone, laptop, or any other device with a standard headphone jack, through the 3.5mm audio input. I would have preferred that the power adapter not connect on the same side as the headphone inputs. It’s a minor design flaw that could have been improved for better cable management. While the volume knobs might need some re-aligning and the power adapter placement is in an inconvenient location. I still like it for its Its compact size, sound quality, individual volume control, and multiple outputs.
