When I first got it, I almost laughed. It looked too simple, like a toy. But once I mounted the phone, everything changed. It felt very professional. I even ordered two lights to mount on top, and I instantly became a videographer. Haha. But seriously, no more fumbling and shaking with handheld phones.... Just smooth, sweeping panoramas and WALK-THROUGHS. THE SHUTTER RELEASE IS A big PLUS. This one is a keeper.

This item is simplicity itself. Simply insert two AA batteries, mount on your camera or light bar, turn on and that is it. It is ideal for close up work, producing more than sufficient light. If one is looking for room filling light, this is not it. When used for confined space or close up work, this does the job. The 6000K output produces well balanced color and natural "daylight" rendering. As they are quite inexpensive, multiple units can be mounted for larger area applications if that is necessary. Having accessory shoe receptacles on three sides is a nice feature to have.

I've been a still photographer for years. My mentor told me I need to get into video. Not ready to rig up my DSLR just yet, but I have a new iPhone 15 - what better way to start.I bought a Ulanzi phone rig (ST-10) that I can use on a camera, light stand, tripod, or handle. Bought two of these lights to flank my phone using the the cold shoe slots on the rig.Why I like these lights: inexpensive, 49 dimmable LED's, cold shoe slots on 3 sides for expansion, but mainly: they take AA batteries. I have a huge investment in rechargeable AA's and chargers, don't need another charging infrastructure I have to support, so that works for me.What I don't like: I have an older 36-LED Genaray that is actually brighter. That said, it's not a big enough difference that I want to carry around the two dedicated batteries and the charger it takes (I did look for a matching Genaray before I bought the two Ulanzi's, but I don't think Genaray makes itanymore. So once again, I'm reviewing a product that takes more time to evaluate than I've actually spent with it. I could judge the brightness and the weight up front. As for the battery life, I gave it 5 stars because I swear by the eneloop rechargeable AA batteries I use. If I find that these lights drain the batteries more quickly than I expected I'll revise the star count

This is the best bang for the buck, it’s actually a LOT brighter then I thought. Will it illuminate your whole photo shoot or film project? NO! But it has cold shoe openings where you can attach more if needed, so 2-3 of these together will definitely get the job done. I’m using this for vlogging, and urban exploring both indoors and outdoors, and for indoors one will do. 3 of them together will get the job done for outdoors….definitely a great deal. It’s also super light, and make sure to use good batteries to get full power of the light.

Using since past 12 months , faced no problem at all. I feel its little pricey for what it offers.

I ordered this for product photography purpose. It is light in weight. It uses 2 AA cells. The light can be adjusted. I liked this product. Lightweight and easy to use.I can be used as a flash on the top of the camera or can be set up individually. The only missing part in this product is there is no power button to turn it on or off, so you have to take out the cells and then only it turns off.The image is with the light on the lower side. You can increase the light 2-3 times brighter than this.

This light is BRIGHT to me. I'm not a blogger but was hoping for a little extra lighting when recording sessions for a college class. The starting brightness of this light is almost overwhelming, and it just gets brighter. It's honestly so bright that it turns the area behind me black in the videos I've taken. The dimmer really only increments up to two additional brightness levels. This does not gently fade from no light to bright light as I was expecting. As for the Cold Shoe, I tried pairing it with my Ulanzi ST-03 cellphone tripod mount. The cold shoe on this is just a hair too small to fit properly on the mount's hidden cold shoe bracket. This could also be an issue with the ulanzi itself, since I'm not largely familiar with what constitutes a good cold shoe. Either way, I have to install it crooked in order for it to lock down snugly.Either way, if you're looking for a soft dimming function, this may not be the best. If you want to be near-to-blinded when you make videos, it's a great pick.

Super bright led light. And super small. Works really well, excellent as a small travel or portable option.

This is a nifty little light. It's more than bright enough for smaller shoots and adding a bit of lamination while running and gunning with the camera. The coldshoe mounts on the tip and side are super convenient and allow me to mount a mic on top and can add more light panels to the sides if need be.Would be 5 stars but there doesn't seem to be a way to easily attach a diffuser to soften the harshness of the LEDs

I was looking for an LED light that lit up my face enough dad you could see me clearly and that it wasn't too bright that made me look white will try and good video myself on the go. It takes two AA batteries and it has three hot shoe mount that makes it nice to mount other accessories like a microphone as I do in these pictures. It is nice that it is adjustable meaning you can dim and brighten the light up and at full brightness it is plenty for what I'm looking for. I like this light but some may say that it's not bright enough for their needs but that's why there's different types of Lights with more LEDs. But for a single point and shoot light it will light you up plenty in pitch dark. The third picture is a picture of myself in a pitch dark room but with this LED light on and I think it lights up the room plenty to see me clearly and some of my background . I recommend this lights and I might get another one. The price for this light is very reasonable and it's well made.
