After 10 days of extremely light use, the screen won't turn on any longer. We replaced the batteries, even though they tested as fully charged. This calculator is required for my daughter's math class, now she's completely hosed as we don't have another calculator with these functions. An absolute waste of money. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Recently purchased the Texas Instruments Ti-83 Plus Graphing Calculator for our son. This was required for one of his school courses. Product arrived in a timely fashion and appeared to be in good condition, however, it has been malfunctioning since we received it, by randomly and spontaneously shutting down mid use and failing to retain memory. We've replaced the batteries despite having placed new ones in it upon its arrival. I believe we'll be returning this item and will end up going to a local office supply store to purchase a brand new one...such a nuisance!
