Buena pesa para la cocina, es la segunda que compro. Lamentablemente la primera se resbaló de mis manos y se rompió el cristal cuando cayó al piso. He probado otras, pero para mí, esta es la mejor y más cómoda.

I've been buying this same model scale for years, which used to last a very long time, but now only lasts 6 months before it stops working in some way or other. When the last scale died, I was well within the 1-year warranty, but didn't contact Taylor in time because I spent 2-months in hospital after nearly dying myself!I contacted Taylor later and explained. They refused to replace it, I explained about hospital, so they grudgingly offered me a "one-time replacement with no warranty".Great, except 6-months later the replacement scale has stopped working! (The fixed piece inside supporting the glass has become loose after minimal use).I contacted Taylor again and had to politely push back twice ("please forward this issue to your manager" etc) -- eventually the nameless CS angrily told me I would get a replacement but this is the LAST TIME!!I can tell that they think I'm full of lies, so I replied with a photo of me in hospital with tubes coming out of me, and wrote --...............FYI, whomever you are that does not even sign your name — I am sending you this so that you realize I AM NOT LYING but being completely honest. My requests have been nothing but fair and reasonable! The way you are speaking to me is angry and not ok!Here is a photo from my 2 month hospital stay. A tube up my nose and down my throat, pumping my stomach constantly, unable to eat or drink, fed via IV. Horrific, terrifying, and I nearly died twice. Would you also like to see a photo from the ER taken when I stopped breathing? This 2-month hospitalization is THE REASON that I did not contact Taylor inside the warranty of the original scale. Had I not been so stupid and inconsiderate as to be hospitalized, I would definitely have let Taylor know within the warranty that the scale was defective YET AGAIN. I’m assuming this would have meant the defective warranty replacement that only lasted 6-months would be replaced without fuss, resistance, and angry emails................A bit nuts? Yes. But it did feel good to send back an equal amount of venom. I'm sick of angry and rude CS not respecting good, loyal, long-time customers.

This is a decent kitchen scale that is easy to use, pretty accurate, able to disassembled for cleaning, and overall a good value.... But why power it with a coin battery? There's plenty of room for a pair of AA or AAA batteries in the base. I use the scale twice a day to portion food for pets and I'm putting a coin battery in it about once a month. I don't want to buy coin batteries or keep them on hand. I don't want to remove the little screw in the base to change the coin battery. I have lots of AA and AAA batteries on hand at any given time and I would have preferred this use one of those sizes. That is not a deal breaker by any means. This is a decent kitchen scale for everyday use. I just find the design choice at least as far as the battery to be odd.

Not as happy with it as with the previous model - now to change the battery, you need to unscrew a bolt at the back. WHY?

I had (apparently) the previous model of this that I purchased about three years ago, and unfortunately, my wife forgot to remove the scale from on top of our toaster oven when she used it one morning, and the entire bottom melted and warped, however, it actually worked perfectly fine, until the battery finally died last week. I was able to remove the battery, but no battery would go back in because of how warped the bottom was.So I ended up trying a higher priced (higher end?) Taylor scale, and that one was completely flat, the entire unit, so it was hard to pinpoint where things were actually being weight. Meaning, I weight cherry tomatoes, beans, a lot of small foods, and on that higher end model, it wasn't accurately reading it. I could add a few beans on while reading in grams, nothing would happen, and I would add one bean at a time to test it, and all of a sudden it would read 8 grams, for example. That's not good enough for me, so I returned it and purchased a Mainstays one. I liked it, and it seemed accurate, but you would not remove the glass top for cleaning, so I looked on the internet to find one similar to what I had, and I found this one.I returned the Mainstays and this just come in today. I assume I originally had an earlier model, because first thing I noticed is that there was a little screw on the batter compartment. My previous one did now have that. Also, for a minute, I was disappointed because I was not able to remove the glass top for cleaning. My old one, it just lifted off, and that was that. It took me a bit, but I found that you have to actually unscrew this one from the base. There was absolutely no indication of having to unscrew the glass top in the instruction manual.I love that you can UNSCREW the top for cleaning, and just like my previous model just like this one, it is incredibly accurate. I am very happy with the purchase.
