This works great when you just can't get that lids off. The lid is just to big for your hand, or to tight or your hands are too wet. This will get it off easily

Gave one to the in-laws a dozen years ago thinking only mother-in-law would use it. Was surprised one night when father-in-law brought it out. Said it was the easiest thing he’d ever used.So this year all the neighbors and family will receive one for Christmas. Just ordered 4. Need another 7.The soft grip on Oxo products is worth the extra $. You can get a better grasp and it isn’t difficult to turn.It’ll be a tough act to follow.

This product just isn’t practical for older folks with the start of arthritis. And the depth between the teeth that grip the lid and the top of the opener is way to shallow. I continue to give this product a “chance” and get it out when lids are securely on the jars that I can’t budge, but sadly it is always a “fail!” This product slips “off the lid” every time! I had such high expectations! Wish I had a better comment because I love OXO and their products.

Since having one of OXO Good Grips Jar Openers (over 10 years) I have yet to find a jar or bottle that I could not open. It works so effortlessly. Sometimes it takes a little more grip but those are usually old or rusted. I have even come to my husband and sons aid which bothers them tremendously. As soon as my sons became engaged, I purchased one for each of my future daughters. These are great for everyone but if you have a senior in your family with problems gripping and holding on to things, it will change their life.

I bought this for my mom. She has problems opening jars. I have one too but mine is a little better because it has teeth on both sides.

Ein Produkt das funktioniert.Es tut genau das was es soll.Die Verarbeitung ist hochwertig und das Produkt wirkt stabil.Der Griff ist so wie der Name suggeriert: griffig.Der Kraftaufwand zum öffnen eines Deckels ist gering.Andere Jarkeys haben oft versagt und sind entsorgt.Ich bin rundherum zufrieden.

I had one of these before and loved it, however, mine was lost in my last move. I have arthritis in my hands and do not have a lot of upper body strength. It is fantastic for opening jars that I might otherwise never be able to get into...unless a neighbor were home at the time I need to open it. I highly recommend this for anyone who has any difficulty in opening jars and the like. Love it, love it, love it!!

I could not manage without this OXO jar opener, it works like magic. My hands are not very strong and this enables me to open all kinds of jars,plastic milk bottles etc. When my very old one broke I looked on the internet and found this new model - what a life saver!

I had an older version of the opener and loved it. The newer model is slightly different and more difficult to use. The grip is not as good as the older model and consequently I end up hurting my forearm and wrist trying to open jars. There aren't any teeth or the same kind to grip the lid. Wish they made them the old way.

Apparently OXO changed the design of their jar opener. I already had the jar opener that was pictured and I wanted a 2nd one for on the go because they work so well. When I received my item, I ended up getting the one pictured here:. Like the previous bad reviews, this model has sharper teeth which tend to cut into the jar tops. It's not built as well as the old model and my guess will fall apart before my old one does, which I've had for around 10 years. So much for new product design(AKA cost cutting).
