I was not expecting much at first, but this little kit worked great.User issues: I didn't have sticky "sushi rice" and the veggies and proteins were not that traditional.That said, I sliced up a block of Spam (the slicer worked great!) and browned it on both sides, made a pot of white rice, grated cucumber, chopped green onions, sliced an avocado, and went to town.I set the form on a piece of dried seaweed and plopped in some rice, then a layer of Spam, a sprinkle of veggies and another little bit of rice. I put the press on top and pressed down. Lifting the form, the little little "rice sandwich" popped out the bottom.I repeated the process a few times. Easy.The set worked flawlessly and with a little soy sauce, wasabi, and pickled ginger my wife and I had a great dinner.Easy to use, easy to clean.Awesome.

This musubi press mold and slicer set is a fantastic and affordable option for making Hawaiian-style Spam musubi at home! The slicer is designed to perfectly fit a standard block of Spam, creating around 8-9 evenly thick slices with minimal effort, similar to an egg slicer (which it can also be used for) but sized specifically for this purpose. It works cleanly and efficiently, and while the wires aren’t adjustable, the price point makes replacement very easy if ever needed. Cleaning the slicer does take a bit of attention due to the tight spaces, but it’s manageable with a bristle brush. The press itself is nicely designed with an open bottom, which initially seemed odd but actually makes assembly much simpler, you can build your layers of rice and Spam directly on top of your seaweed sheet, press everything neatly into place, and then lift the mold off without disturbing the shape, no flipping or prying needed. The included rice paddle is an added bonus, and works really well for packing the mold without issues. All in all, it’s a well-designed, practical kit, that simplifies musubi prep and delivers great looking results! Highly recommend for anyone looking to recreate this tasty snack at home!

If you love spam musubi like I do, this musubi maker is a total game changer. It’s super simple to use—just layer your rice, spam, and any extras you want, press it down, and you’re done. The photos speak for themselves. This is a simple kit to start your musubi journey. The wire spacing is perfectly shaped to cut a Spam loaf in nine even slices. Then the mold builds the final product into a delight meal or snack.The wires seem to be manually folded as each hook holds a different shape. I am slightly concerned about either food or moisture getting trapped in those small spaces, so would recommend handwashing only.But other than that, it is a great kitchen addition!

I made Hawaiian-Spam musubi last night with this musubi press and was very impressed with how the press performed. To begin, I used the slicer to slice a loaf of Spam, and it did a great job creating nine individual slices. After I prepared my ingredients, I assembled the musubi using the press. It was so easy and worked like a charm! The plastic housing of the press is very durable and made perfect musubi. I am thrilled with this product, and the price was nice too! This is definitely a five-star item. Buy with confidence!

Easy use and makes quick work of making a tasty snack. I am not sure how this will last over time especially the slicer. It seems a little light weight for much use but right now it's working great. I plan on using it for molding sushi and musubi weekly. I like the way that it slices the spam with my early use. Easy cleanup. I can't wait to try it for a appetizers for gathering. It's a simple little mold but practical. The most important of the components for me is the slicer and the molds but the rice spoon is nice too. I used the slicer for boiled eggs for a salad so it's a multipurpose item too. This fits my definition of a good value.
