My Son has been begging me for a Musubi maker for some time. He loves to try new things and loves spam. The kit comes with a metal slicer for the spam. I could never get the slices to be even, now it will be perfect slices every time. It comes with 2 molds that are made of a thick, sturdy plastic. It also includes a perfect size rice spoon.

I’m from Hawaiʻi and grew up making SPAM musubi, so I’ve tried all kinds of molds over the years — and this kit is honestly one of the better ones. You get two musubi molds, a heavy-duty stainless steel slicer, and even a small paddle. Simple but really well thought out.The molds are solid — not that cheap plastic that bends or cracks. You can press the rice nice and firm without worrying. I also like the textured surface inside; it helps the rice slide right out clean. No sticking, no falling apart.But the real MVP is the slicer. It’s NOT a wire-style one — this is all stainless steel (304 grade), and it cuts SPAM evenly without mangling it. Perfect thickness for musubi, every time.Bonus Points:• Dishwasher safe, but honestly, just rinse and it’s good.• Doesn’t take up much space — great for small kitchens.• Comes with two molds, which is great when you’re making a bunch for potluck or family get-togethers.If you grew up eating musubi or just wanna make it the right way, this kit gets the job done. I’m already buying some as gifts! I'VE NEVER SEEN THIS SOLD LOCALLY!UPDATE: The slicer requires you to poke out the pieces but I still like this. It does take a little muscle but better than a wired one breaking on the first or second use.PRO TIP: Once sliced, I lay the slices down and 1 - cut them again lengthwise and 2 - cut them crosswise for little cubes for my fried rice! It worked wonderfully!SECRET FAMILY RECIPE: Equal Parts sugar and shoyu with tons of minced garlic to taste mixed in with the spam (secret - use slicer crosswise to make matchstick pieces mixed in with sliced green beans! Serve over hot rice!

I've always just eyed my spam and cut it by hand, but having a slicer makes even slices every time and definitely makes it look more professional. It cuts through the spam without any issues and is a time-saver, for sure.I have a couple of the rice molds, and my current mold I use most often makes 3 musubis at a time, but it never hurts to have more for when I have help making them (because you can't bring "just a couple" of spam musubis to get-togethers!).It comes with a teeny rice paddle, but I think it's mostly gimmicky. If you're making spam musubi, you probably already own a rice paddle. It's cute, though.

The blades are sharp so I keep the little bag to not cut myself when removing from the box. This is the cutest little musubi maker! Very nice quality, easy to use, and very easy to clean. The size is nice, especially when it comes to storage. However, I got this primarily for the rice spoon, as I dont have one, so I was pretty shocked to see that this spoon was not only super flimsy, but also only a few inches long.

This musubi mold is simple, no-fuss, and works exactly the way it should. The plastic mold presses clean, even layers every time, and the two-pack is nice if you're prepping in batches. Bonus points for the stainless steel slicer - it makes quick work of slicing SPAM. The price is super fair for what you get. Whether you're a musubi pro or just trying to recreate your favorite snack from that Hawaiian BBQ place, this set makes it way easier (and prettier).

I’ve always wanted one to make my spam musubi! This mold kit is awesome! Easy to use. My spam musubi is neatly done and pretty now. Love the spam cutter it comes with, it makes cutting spam faster and evenly. The mold is also the right size. If you want to add egg to your musubi, just use the mold to press down on the cooked egg to cut it the same shape. The little rice spoon is so cute! Easy to clean. Great price. Love it and recommend.
