The PQ-4025-00 is a 1/4" thick block or slab of pure TUSQ. It is a 1/4" thick and can be used to make a nut, small saddle or just about any thing you can image. The PQ-4025-00 is also available in a convenient luthier 10 pack (LQ-4025-10).

チャランゴのナット交換で購入。刃物とヤスリで成形しましたが加工は楽でした。音色は良く分かりませんが普通に使えています。

8弦ギターのナットに使用しました。サイズも十分足ります。音もいいです。牛骨より加工しやすくてしかも削っても"あの臭い"がしない。当分これでいきます。

I needed an oversized nut for a restoration im doing on an old Yamaha acustic. Amazon messed up the first delivery and sent me the wrong part. It got resolved it just took a couple weeks to get the right nut blank.

While TUSQ was really easy to shape for my D-28 Martin, in my opinion the material is too soft, and resulted in significantly muted tonality. I will be ripping this out and replacing with bone blanks (which I could not find on Amazon) as soon as they arrive. It may be harder to shape bone, but I really miss my tone!

I gave it a try but too much of a pain to file into shape and work with, ended just using bone as I always have. A 1/2' belt sander may have roughed it in but after tons of work getting to this part of a build why risk it.
