Works well, but you may need adapter. This device has the same female xlr for both input output.

This might work as a booster for a very low output mic, but calling it “high gain” and considering the 6.35mm(¼”) output connector “line” just isn’t accurate. Test was done with a Shure PG58 dynamic mic and a Focusrite Scarlet 18i8 3rd gen, using one of its line level inputs. Two purchased, one tested. Two returned.
