Does not match the first light oak one that I bought. It's more like a natural pine than light oak or birch color.

I bought this cradle for a Chelsea-like clock for my son. A Chelsea clock would have had a hole in the back plate allowing it to be screwed into the base itself. Not so with this cheaper clock. But the cradle area is way too large for the clock, so I had to anchor it with clasps screwed into the base. Two of them provide some firmness, but it will always have to be handled with extreme care. In the end my son my hang it on a wall! (A hole is thankfully provided at the top of the clock's back.). So I would have wished the publicity about the base would have contained a specific mention of what size clock would fit best.
