This is almost too well made oh, it is ridiculously heavy, to the point where you're going to feel nervous hanging it on your wall or above fireplace. It comes with brackets but we struggled to get them perfectly level because it was being installed on top of tile that is not perfectly flat. The adjustable feature is awesome. I think they need to use a different material in the future to make this lighter weight. I would be nervous putting something heavy on top of this like glass vases for example, because it's already so heavy on its own.

Very well made! I had it professionally installed so I cannot comment on the ease of installation. I loved the mantle and how it looks!

We were happy while opening this item when we received it. However, when we decided to install it, our hardships began.This shelf is using a French cleat installation mechanism, but manufacturer does not include any hardware for the piece of wood which is supposed to be screwed on the wall (THEY EVEN PRINTED IT ON THE WOOD!)There's only two pieces of wood inside the box, surprisingly without any holes to put the screws in. This would make it much more difficult and imprecise!I have bought a lot of products from Amazon that when you open the box, you'd find step by step installation guide that leads you through the process. Not only this product lacks any proper installation guide, but also it lacks enough hardware.The piece of wood that you must screw to the wall is so thin and stiff that once I tried to put the screw in it, it cracked!On the manufacturer's website, you'd not find enough helpful videos or contents as well.Overall, I just initiated the return process right now.
