These things are fabulous. They have enough power for most tasks with SLRs I have used these on-site, off-site, outdoors, very versatile. small and powerful.

Keep in mind it’s a off camera flash, though it may seem like a speedlight. Battery life and n particular lasts longer than manufacturer’s claim.Haven’t missed any fire yet in last few weeks of continuous use. Great thing is you can use MagMod with it.

As a wedding/portrait photographer on the location never in studio, I need light weight reliable equipment. I'm a Conon shooter, I shoot on the Canon 6D platform with all L Glass. I bought one of these to try out, i had heard many great things. I'm soo happy I switched from the canoon 600ex speedlights and bout more of these to replace all my canon lights. Heres the reasons why:1. More powerful - the AD200 provides more output than one canon 600ex, which means you can fight the sun more, you can shoot at a lower output, saving battery.2. Rechargable single pack battery - only having to carry one extra batter instead of an army of AA and external power packs and made my life soo much simpler. The battery has great life too, 500 full power pops!, I've shot full day at a wedding and then gone out the next day for engagement shoot and still had enough juice i didn't have to switch to my back up battery.3. The wireless x1 platform is stable and reliable. I have had many issues at weddings with no fire on my flashes because the wireless signal was dropped and flashes disconnect. After useing this as my only flash in combo with 860II on camera and also a AD600 I have yet to have any miss fires and the system is alwayes tready to go. Its simple to use and can do ETTL and manual just liek my canons!I love these units, plus i can buy 2 for the price of one canon... so 4x the power 1/8 the batteries needed for the same price! Sold. The only thing you need to know is that you need a wireless transmitter to use this flash. I knew this going in , but it seems some people don't under stand this. If you need on camer flass the 860II is your flash. plus you can controll the AD200 with your 860II and get 2 lights with awesoem performace for theunder the price of once Canon!

First of all, this thing is built like a tank. Secondly, it is quite powerful for its size. Third, it is very easy to use and it is very versatile.

Flash eccezionale sotto tutti i punti di vista, compatto, potente, con batteria di grande durata, niente a che vedere rispetto a un classico flash a slitta

I don't often write in superlatives but in this case I will unabashedly gush. This little unit and the radio transmitters that contol it are awesome! A few weeks ago I bought my son the Flashpoint R2 Zoom TTL speedlight and transmitter for his Canon. It worked so well I decided I would buy one for my Nikon. While shopping around I discovered the Godox AD200 and decided to go with it instead due to the increased power and reasonable size and cost. So I bought it and the Neewer N1-T transmitter for Nikon. Godox, Neewer, and Flashpoint are all the same equipment with different branding so my hope was that my son and I would both be able to use the AD200 even though we have different camera brands and different branded transmitters.Well, it all works amazingly well together! The Neewer transmitter for Nikon and Flashpoint transmitter for Canon both fire the Godox AD200 flawlessly. But what amazes me even more is that when both transmitters are on and synced with the AD200, the AD200 intelligently switches between transmitters depending on which one fires it. For example, when the Neewer transmitter is set in manual mode at 1/4 power and I shoot, the AD200 fires at 1/4 power. Then when the Flashpoint transmitter shoots in TTL mode, the AD200 automatically switches to TTL mode and fires! So two completely different camera systems using two different transmitters set in different modes or at different powers can alternately fire the same strobe and each shooter can get the look he wants! Incredible! The Godox/Flashpoint/Neewer lighting system appears to be extremely well designed with a lot of intelligent thought put into creating an amazingly flexible, affordable, well built system. I will be adding more flashes, AD200's, and maybe an AD600/XPLOR600 as time goes on. The creative possibilities are endless! And since the equipment is so affordable compared to most of the other brands out there, I can afford to add the equipment I need to be as creative as I want.Other reviews go into more detail about power, specs, etc. so I wanted to focus on the intelligent design and flexibility it offers. If you are even considering getting this, just do it!

The Godox AD200 is a great piece of gear. Works extremely well with my sony a7riii. I'm using the X1T-S trigger on the camera, and the AD200 system is producing perfectly exposed images. TTL and HSS work very well in this setup with the Sony camera. No problems whatsoever so far.I like the carrying case provided with the flash and the accompanying accessories. It would have been ideal if there was an empty slot in the case to accommodate the X1T-S trigger, but that's a very minor complaint on what is a well-functioning system that produces great results.
