The Godox V1Pro-C is an incredible upgrade for any photographer! The round head delivers beautiful, soft, and even light, making portraits look natural and professional. The recycle time is super fast, so I never miss a moment, and the battery life easily lasts through long shoots.I also love the magnetic modifiers — they snap on easily and give me a lot of creative flexibility. Whether on-camera or off-camera, the V1Pro-C delivers reliable, consistent results every time.Highly recommend for photographers who want portability, power, and beautiful light in one compact flash!

I have used Godox products on many of my cameras over the years, and still carry their "Lux Junior" with me for one of my regular use cameras. This flash that I have is designed for TTL - "through the lens" capability for Canon cameras, and they are also available for TTL with Nikon, Sony, Fuji, and Olympus , but I attached it to my Fujifilm camera in manual mode and it was excellent and it worked perfectly, and I recall a time where there was no such thing as TTL - this flash is more than capable of operating without TTL input - it's all on the photographer, because this flash is incredibly versatile.Godox is unique in their design of flash heads that are circular rather than the more common rectangular style commonly seen, and they believe their flash offers a better rendition of skin tones. My experience with this flash upholds that theory, but in fact I believe this flash does things better than any comparable product, and at a very affordable price. One key element to this flash is the SU-1 sublight. It is a detachable flash that sits on the front of the unit and effects a real change in how you use your flash. Now you can use the SU-1 for the harsh forward facing light, and then use the main head reflected off the ceiling, or walls, or an umbrella, to fill in the balancing light. The effect is astounding. The light has a rechargeable Lithium battery, and you can carry extra batteries to switch out for a particularly long session, and of course just hook it via the USB C up to a power source and keep shooting. The light is also equipped with three diffusers - one white, one green and one blue, and multiple color gels that can be attached to the light head. The head articulates, of course, the battery pops out, a simple switch moves from manual to TTL - everything about this light, which is ostensibly an entry level light for prosumers, says it is very usable for pros in the field or in the studio. This is a very well built speedlight from a company renowned for its quality, and this new product and its adaptability for TTL with the major brands, says Godox is in the business for the long haul and intends to continue to excel even as the industry changes from day to day.I love this light, and I highly recommend it

I ordered the Godox V1Pro out of curiosity to compare it with my Profoto A10, which is always in my camera bag and is my go-to flash. Out of the box, I noticed that the V1Pro battery has an external power port and can be charged with a USB-C cord, which is one less thing to worry about when traveling. The size of the flash is on the heavy side, weighing 580 grams, and it feels top-heavy compared to my A10. One of the features of the V1Pro is that you can mount a subflash in front, allowing you to use both direct and bounce flash simultaneously, which is a very cool and trendy feature. However, even though the package advertises the detachable Sub Flash SU-1 as part of the kit, it wasn't included in mine. The flash also comes with overheat protection, which is a welcome feature. I always suggest shooting at no more than 1/8 of the full power and instead using a higher ISO.I also appreciate that, compared to my A10, the V1Pro allows you to bend the flash back 120 degrees instead of having to spin it and then bend it back. I can't believe Profoto didn't think of that—shame on you, Profoto! The recycle time of the V1Pro is 1.5 seconds or less, which is very comparable to the A10, and the light it produces is excellent. I love that the flash comes with a modeling light. However, to address the elephant in the room, all the controls at the back are terrible and not intuitive at all, featuring overly sensitive wheels that don’t function well. I wish the TTL/M switch was displayed more prominently and that the on/off switch was on the side. That said, I am comparing the $1,100 A10 with the $330 V1Pro, which is a fraction of the price. I can recommend this light to anyone interested in purchasing a very powerful and versatile flash that will last.
