It a great little scale to see how much yarn is left when you finish a project.

Bought it for measuring ounces for baking …but had to return it because it was smaller than expected.

I purchased this scale to get more accurate results when I filled my Copic markers. This scales is really small so is easy to store in my craft room. Easy to lay the marker across the holder and get results to the tenth of a gram.

Save your time - this scale simply does not function.Leaving it on a stable counter, the reading will bounce around ±10-20 grams without any force applied to the plate. Tare function does not resolve this. Utterly useless for measuring anything accurately. This is a piece of garbage. Not worth my time to return, but worth my dignity to get it out of my sight.

This was the cheapest micro scale I could find as I'm taking my first steps with an espresso machine. It's very small which makes it perfect to sit below my shot glass while pouring and it doesn't need a flat surface as many other kitchen scales because the measuring bed is on top of the body, which works very well in the drip tray. Now, you can't weigh the portafilter as probably just the basket is bigger than the scale, but you can use an empty grinder and just measure the beans you're throwing in.I terms of precision I can't tell because I don't have a calibrated weight to test it, however putting it on top of my regular kitchen scale (which goes by gram, not tenth of a gram like this) they seem to be par.On the other hand, sudden abrupt changes of weight usually end up drifting the tare, so even if it goes up to 1kg I wouldn't rely on its precision for anything over 100g (far exceeding what I need it for!)
