As the title noted, I only use these in a pin-vise for hand-scribing thin glass for breaking into shapes, and otherwise inscribing onto glass. So I have no information re: using them for "CNC". I also haven't tried to use them in any rotary tool - I specifically wanted to avoid doing so, because I can't control the rotary tool for super-fine detail. But these are super for hand-scribing! Just try to keep your pin vice vertical to the surface being inscribed.
