I received the kit for Christmas. 3 out of 5 species sprouted but one quickly died. One is barely hanging around. 1 is thriving. Unfortunately there is not a way to contact the seller.

I am an Amazon Vine reviewer, and I chose this product, which I received for free (though I do pay taxes on it) for an HONEST review.I am reviewing the Bonsai Kit sold by ZOHOKO. I chose this kit as Hubby and I have been wanting a Bonsai tree for some time, but never really found one we really liked locally. This kit comes with 5 types of trees and everything shown in the pictures. The little jute type bags are lined with plastic with one drain hole in the middle of the bottom.I did not have any difficulty with the coconut coir, it broke up and absorbed the water readily. I put the coconut coir in their respective bags, but the bags in a glass dish, poured water over them and let them soak up any extra needed from the bottom.I wrote the name of the plants on the little name placards and stuck them in the coconut coir. By day 6, they are starting to get fuzzy, so while they are cute, I don’t think it’s a great idea to leave them in the damp coconut coir.By day 4 2 of the Sophora were sprouting. By day 6, there are now 3 Sophora and one Jacaranda sprouting. Nothing yet from the Wisteria, Japanese Blue pine, or Flame tree, but it’s early. I did hold some seeds back to try again if some of these don’t germinate. So far, this is a cute little Bonsai starting kit and I would be very happy if some of these trees really thrived. It would have been nice if the seller included instructions on how to treat the trees once they sprouted, but I’ll figure it out.The price is in line or slightly less than competitors and the trees it comes with look like they will be very pretty. I would recommend this to friends or family looking for an inexpensive Bonsai starter kit. For now, 4 stars. I’ll try to come back and update after the trees have had a chance to grow up a bit.I hope this review helped and happy shopping!

Five days in and some seeds seem to be sprouting well and that is why i bought them but the little signs started to mold. I am pulling the signs today and hoping for the best. Maybe next time i will skip the cute little signs. 😕

This kit comes with mostly everything you need. You will need at least 5 pots, bonsai clay/rocks, and eventually bonsai nutrients.Everything else is here, Seeds, starter soil, soil bag for planting, and some straw.I think it is really cool to plant and watch a bonsai tree grow and my wife and daughter are really excited to try this out too. They thought growing your own tree from seed would be really cool. And with this kit I get 5 different trees with several seeds per tree so hoping I will be guaranteed to get at least one of each tree to grow. And the cost of the kit makes it worth a try considering the price of a grown tree. The kit does says that it will take up to 45 days to sprout. I will need to update my review when that happens.

I will say that you get everything that you need to get the plants started. plastic lined burlap sack pots for the seed mix and the seeds. The instructions are very clear. But it will takes weeks before we see much growth which is actually part of the fun. What is missing is any care or instruction beyond getting your seedling growing. I know Bonsai take patience and the trees need trimmed and trained and there is nothing included to instruct that. You are not getting a bonsai tree and that takes years to grow. This will e a fun process but it is something to think about.

We followed the instructions and planted these ONLY 11 days a go, DURING WINTER. Had some leftover seeds according to instructions and put those on smaller pots.
