I have always used the "w" brand. I am so very pleased with the vibrancy of these colors and the price. They are high quality and, add no taste. They are easy to use, and will be the brand I use from now on.

I needed these for my annual King Cake, and they worked out great. I used to be able to get them from a local specialty store but it went out of business, so I was thrilled to find them on Amazon. I ordered the basic set, so I had to mix the purple, but that was no biggie. If you are used to liquid food coloring, especially grocery store types, you will be amazed at how strong the colors can be.

I used the set to dye Easter eggs. They worked well, but I was disappointed in the red color. It is a tomato red, rather than a true red. The pastel version comes out orange rather than pink.

Used the Green and Blue to make Earth Cupcakes for my sister's baby's Welcome To The World party.The colors were rich and I didn't feel like I had to use the entire bottle like I have had to do in the past with the liquid form.I didn't taste any dye taste.This was my first time using gel and I will probably never buy the liquid kind again!

I bought this pack of gel food coloring at a very low price and received them right away, so of course had to use them right away. My three year old granddaughter was here and we had a ball making a rainbow rolled cake together! The colors turned out so vibrant and we just used a couple of drops of each. Also as with regular liquid food coloring it did not make the batter runny. I will never go back to the old stuff. I would definitely buy again although with the generous amount you get and the small amount you have to use, I won't have to buy again for awhile.

Welp, this was my first trial at gel paste so I tried the less expensive beginners pack. I've viewed youtube examples of gel paste in a small container & just a smidge was needed; I had to use more of this product to gain the robust color I was looking for equal to the gel in the small container. By using a lot of this gel I found there is a change of flavor that happens. Also it would be advisable to get gels of specific colors in lieu of mixing, its faster and more accurate; let the manufacturer do all the work (smile). But if this is your first time this is good enuf, it will help you make the determination on your own as to what you would like, this is just my opinion. Would'ov liked to share a photo of the cake but Amazon doesn't offer that option.
