These rods are close to the listed size, I measure them at 12.5mm or .492 in. diameter. Length was accurate at 10 in. The ends are distorted from being sheared rather than cut with a saw, probably not an issue if you're turning them but there is a slight squish at each end. The surface finish is decent, I did get a couple pieces that had some gouges from some point in the rolling process. These were shipped in a cardboard mailer that had broken open during shipping, I'm a little surprised I received all of them.
