The chime is solidly made. The woodgrain is lovely, as is the tone. Now if I can just keep my toddler from stealing it off my altar. :P Overall, I'm very pleased with it, as is the kiddo.

So soothing and perfect for meditation needs. Resonates for a long time. It has a hole on the back so you can hang it and the mallet slides under the chime for storage. Love it!

Very well crafted, half the price of retail store sale price. Chime note a little higher than I expected, still nice sound. Good resonance and sustain. Happy with this purchase.

I use this before, and sometimes during or after, teaching social proficiency skills in elementary school classrooms; the kids wait quietly to see how long they can hear the resonating chime. This helps teach them mindfulness - being totally in the moment - as well as whole body listening (eyes watch, ears listen, voice quiet, body calm). We also sometimes use it while doing deep breathing. Woodstock products are THE BEST!!

This product is exactly what they've advertised. It is a single chime that has a very well defined tone when struck cleanly by the included mallet. The string holding the metal cylinder to the block is very thin and may have trouble lasting over time, however, it works exactly as promised and feels good quality. The mallet is a fair bit cheaper than other mallets I've seen (even compared to the chime that sparked my interest in purchasing this one). But, aside from probably costing more money, that is the only two things that could be improved. Nicer mallet and better/stronger string to hold in place.

The pitch is not too high or low -- and the volume just right to get the class of kids to finish up their thought and then be silent enough to listen. I can mount it on the hook on my cart so it doesn't take up valuable space. Much better than clapping or other silence makers.

The Japanese poet Matsuo Bashō once wrote: "The temple bell stops - but the sound keeps coming out of the flowers." If you listen with enduring presence, you can hear the sound of this chime coming out of the flowers. It was just the chime I was looking for. Lovely. Simple. Just so.

This chime is really well-made and has a crisp and perfectly tuned sound. I love this chime because it's a bit larger and a smoother, rounder tone resonates from it than a shrill, high-pitch sound. The sound projects if you need it to be loud or can be struck softly for a calming tone.I am very happy with this purchase and appreciate the craftsmanship of Woodstock Chimes! Thank you!
