The cable is an audio cable attached to a video cable. Plugged it in and everything and did Jack all.

This isn't working, am I missing something? It says plug and play but I'm getting a dark picture with wrong colors and intermittent flickering. Wii works fine with the old component cable but not with this on the new TV with HDMI only. Please advise or I will likely return for another product.
