I finally was able to deploy this filter for significant use, and I can say with confidence it is worth the money. The ND64 version accurately reduces light 6 stops. The glass is clear and strong, and the case is better than some throwaway cases I've seen come with filters.

Most of my "drop-in" filters are 150x100, but this 100x100 fit in my filter holder and works like a dream! I live in Ohio and it's almost December, so it's really not the ideal time to check this filter for color shift...grey and brown are my color palettes, currently. But speaking as someone that has, frankly, thousands of dollars' worth of filters, the quality of the optical glass used in this filter is fantastic. It's very well made, with nicely ground and beveled edges and rounded corners. I couldn't find a flaw anywhere. While this is obviously isn't a graduated neutral density filter, it can be used as one if you don't mind a hard line, just have it halfway up or so in your filter holder. It will work well for sunrise and sunset pics on the ocean thusly, as the hard line will match the horizon perfectly.I can hardly wait until spring so I can get out and start using this. It seems fantastic so far, and this spring when things are green again I'll try and get some photos posted using this.
