This is not at all what I was expecting. I don't believe it's worth the money. I recieved a sandwich bag half full of clay, thought I was going to recieve a bit more.

You only get a half ziplock bag full of dirt for $20?!?!?!?!!!!! Completely bogus! And when I asked to return our for a refund I was told I needed to pay almost $6 in shipping! Total ripoff! Please save yourself the trouble and don't buy!

Clay soil was exactly as described, and seller was accommodating when USPS failed to deliver. Will be ordering from them again in the future.

This clay is perfect for grubs creating pupal chambers! I just had my first successful beetle hatch because of the quality of the clay.

What the heck is in this soil? 😱 I bought it because it was thicker/heavier than the soil we have here, and I needed hard packed soil for a science experiment that I was helping my daughter with. The experiment was to help my daughter learn the importance of using good soil when planting a seed. I had her put a bean seed in four different cups. The first cup had grass growing in it. The second cup had gravel in it. The third cup had hard packed soil (this same dirt that I'm reviewing), and the fourth cup had the good soil.Well, things didn't quite go the way that we expected them to go. Like we suspected, the seeds in the gravel and grass didn't make it. Now, with the hard packed soil, however, we were pleasantly surprised to find a bean plant sprouting from that soil about ten days later; this was not supposed to happen. When we put that soil in the cup, we made sure that we really pushed it in there, so that there wasn't any wiggle room. Yet, low and behold, it somehow managed to sprout. After the bean plant sprouted from the hard packed soil, my daughter wanted to try planting some other things in this red dirt as well to see if they too would sprout. So, I helped her plant a radish, pea, and corn seeds in that same red dirt that I am currently reviewing. Although the pea never sprouted, the radish and the corn seeds sprouted on the same day. Again, we really made sure to pack that dirt in there, so that there wasn't any wiggle room. Yet, they sprouted anyways, which was cool. 😎Although the bean and corn plants were eventually transplanted in our garden successfully, the radish plant didn't last much longer than a few days after it sprouted. It died because it couldn't get its head out of the soil. In fact, it completely decapitated itself because the soil was stronger than the plant, so it died shortly after sprouting, unfortunately.Overall, we had a lot of fun with this soil. We were not expecting it to be good potting soil; yet, it was for our bean and corn plants. I'm not sure what mineral is in this dirt that those plants seemed to thrive on, but there must be something good in it because those plants were very healthy and did very well.

The packaging was secure and good. The clay dirt wasn’t orange or anything. It felt like a regular dirt. The dirt is in a zip lock bag. It not as much dirt as I thought it would be.

I really enjoyed it, so much I ordered again. It’s a little moist when received but I sun dried it and it was wonderful minus a few small pebbles... not much.
