Mother Earth® Coco + Perlite is a plant growing media that is a great alternative to potting soil and other traditional growing medias. Coconut coir is made from the fiber and pith of coconut husks and is an alternative to peat-based medias. Mother Earth® Coco + Perlite incorporates 70% coconut coir as well as 30% perlite for better aeration and drainage. Increased aeration and more drainage allow gardeners to more aggressively feed without worrying about over-watering. Since it all starts with coconuts, a renewable resource, it is environmentally friendly from the beginning. Use this growing media for all types of indoor or outdoor container gardening. Unlike traditional growing medias, coconut coir can resist compaction and last longer in a container. By using a state-of-the-art production process, Mother Earth® Coco + Perlite ensures the high-quality, consistent coco growing media. A fully renewable resource, coconut coir is a smart choice for you, your plants, and our planet.

I been using your their coco coir for years without any bud issues. But, after two weeks of my grow planting my seeds, I encountered a knat infestation. This was the first time using Mother Earth of their coco coir. I tried to get it replaced by sending a message and never got a response, Not sure why….

I think this is easier than breaking down bricks of compressed coco coir. I think my plants appreciate the bit of perlite as it holds a bit more moisture than the coir would alone, which is good as I live in the desert. Solid product I have been using for years. For cacti 1 part cactus soil, 1 part coco coir and 2 parts pumice NOT more perlite. For Monstera and pothos and most "jungle" type plants I use equal parts cactus soil, pumice, COCO COIR and orchid bark. My Monstera is huge and the pothos grow like weeds in this mix.
