From the style of the 1870's Winchester saddle carbine scabbards, these were termed the M-1938 and used in WWII to protect the weapons and to have them ready and at hand for immediate use. Fitted with the original early style all brass cocking handle cover, these make great display items and come complete with all straps and brass hardware. The best you'll find anywhere. Overall length approximately 31 inches. Non-Firing replica display rifle is not included.

I use this on my motorcycle to carry my M1A scout when I go up into the mountains. For the price it is a very very nice scabbard. I'm going to buy a second one so I don't have to switch it from vehicle to vehicle.

Quality, quality, quality . I am just surprised at this scabbard being such a quality M1 Garand leather scabbard that looks and feels like its worth several hundred dollars.

It was so deformed in shipping that I am not sure what to do with it. Local saddle maker wants more than I paid to make it usable. Does not fit the weapon. Took two of us to put it on my M-1 and three of us to remove it. Waste of money.

Was everything I expected, however have shoe oil or leather treatment around because the leather is dried out big time. If promptly treated it suits your purpose perfectly. Leather needs love, just remember that, and this will last forever.😎

Absolutly beautiful and functional scabbard. I spent a lot on my M1 and try to protect it to and from the range. This scabbard does it with style.
