I purchased this product in January 2024. I took great care of the ice maker, using only distilled water to prevent scale build-up. I cleaned it with vinegar and ran the cleaning cycle at recommended intervals. And it made perfect, soft chunks of ice. But two weeks ago (May 2025 - 16 months into service), the machine started making such loud noise that I had to unplug the machine. It was so loud that you could hear it outside in my lawn! Unfortunately, I cannot stop the noise so this machine is toast. It lasted 16 months into service….and has a 12 month warranty. Imagine that? I expected better quality considering the cost of the machine!

Don’t buy this product it will break on you and you won’t get a refund you’ll be stuck with a broken product and a broken wallet!

This works amazing. I've had 2 opals so far and this one is great. After the ice melts to a certain point it will make more ice keeping you bin full.
