The bell tone is not very loud but it’s clear enough. The handle is pretty sturdy and fits my hand nicely.

I purchased this bell to alert my kindergarteners to the end of recess so I can save my voice. This is bell is very loud which I love so glad I bought it.

Very nice bell. Clear tone, but wish the handle had been finished. Oh well, I can do the way I want it.

took part in the New Year's Eve jingle around the world and the bell was not loud at all it was very difficult to get it to make a good sound. Sturdy but not capable of doing what was intended ringing a bell

I'm no expert on bells, and I bought this for household use, but it seems like a good one. It's sturdy and attractive. The sound is crisp, and not cheap or tinny. I'm happy with it.

I am using this at school as my end of recess signal. The handle is very nicely sealed so I can use a Clorox wipe on it each time after a child rings it to signal the end of recess. It has a nice melodic sound and is loud enough for kids to hear it across our playground.

Bought this for my dad, to get attention from someone in the house.This bell is brass with a metal clapper. So it makes a nice ring similar to what you would hear from the Salvation Army Santa at Christmas or the guy pushing a handcart selling ice cream.It takes little effort to ring the bell. And it can be heard throughout in my case a small house. (although the first time I heard it, I was looking outside for the ice cream man.)It seems to be well made. Wooden handle on metal bell. But only time will tell on that as we've been using it only a week.
