Got this so my wife and I, both elderly and both hard of hearing, could use it to summon each other from the other room if/when needed. But the ringer inside is made of some sort of composition material, not metal, and does not produce that loud of a ring. Will end up at Salvation Army or Goodwill.

I like it very much. My husband can hear me ring it to help me after having surgery. I wish it was a little more sturdier

This just arrived today. It has a great sound to it. My cat comes running every time I ring it which is what I bought it for. It is very light weight and I like the spring action that holds the ball in place. It makes it very easy to get a rythm going.

These bells help my father (who happens to have dementia) call his helpers.They are beautiful (gold or silver both) and LOUD and sooooo sturdy andreliable. So happy we got them!
