Let's be clear this is an awesome durable tool. My second and a gift for my son, 20. who like me is a utilitarian minimalist and what we have is of quality and useful. I've had mine for 26 years. Used it on 4 continents, I seldom leave the house without it.Use it for: car, motorcycle, torque screws in cabinets, kitchen, moped, caravan coaches bottle opener and finally BICYCLES!SERIOUSLY, why get anything else unless the pro is even better. I have gloves size 9-10 and it fits perfectly in my hand.

This tool is perfect! I don’t like carrying much with me when on the mountain bike trails so this is awesome given the size and capability. Well made for those emergency repairs in the wilderness. It’s a bit of insurance for when in the middle of nowhere. Keep it oiled and it will last a lifetime.

I love this tool. I have had all the usual breakdowns, flats, broken chain, seat and bar adjustments, derailleur limit screw adjustment, and it worked perfect. The chain breaker is quite capable on the 4 times I've used it on the side of the road and never an issue. It takes a little bit of time to unthread it and get it working but it's such a cool compact design, I barely notice the time it takes because I'm too busy thinking how great the design is. The tire lever is adequate but I would hate to wrestle with a REALLY stubborn tire using only it. All the bits are strong and the entire tool is lite and packs down really small. The only two places I've had it not help me out is on an aero seat post, the binder bolt for the saddle was tucked away too far into the post for the little Allen wrench to reach. The other was with a binder bolt on a set of loose campy cranks. They use a #10 hex bit and need a long extender. This tool has neither but it's not really what you want In a mini tool anyway. So it may not be a replacement for all your shop tools, but it will easily and efficiently be small and light enough to pack in a small saddle bag to be sure to fix all your basic and some less basic roadside repairs. I liked it so much I bought a second one for my alternate road bikes saddle bag.

I feel much better having this tool with me on my rides. I've used most of its functions now, and it's showing no signs of wear after 5 months. It's great for adjusting things out on the road/trail, and I've used it at home quite a bit too. The chain tool feels very solid, I've used it successfully several times now and would absolutely trust it miles from home. Screwdrivers and hex keys work as expected with no stripping issues. It can be little clumsy to work with the small tools if I need to screw something in a ways, but that's part of the deal with a portable do-it-all like this. I've trued my wheels many times with the spoke wrench and it continues to work very well. I'm very happy with this tool, and have always found what I've needed with it out on my rides. It's also surprisingly small, so it's very easy to carry. There are other tools out there with more or less functionality, but I really like having more than just a set of hex keys and screwdrivers, and certainly don't feel the need for more than what this brings to the table.

This tool ROCKS! It's everything you need IF you need it! Thank Jesus that I have never HAD TO use this tool in an emergency situation out on the trail. BUT it is so LOADED and simple to use that I have used it many times for my routine maintenance and adjustments. I love it! It really is ALL IN ONE. People have recommended NOT using the metal tire lever because it can scratch or damage your rim. I have 2 plastic ones from a patch kit, so I've never had to try it. Comes with a great neoprene case, and it's SUPER SMALL in size. Fits in ANY back pack, fanny pack, seat pack. I totally recommend this product!

Updated May 2022The tool is well made. It's about the same size as the one which I replaced however has many more tools in it.August 1, 2017 -- the chain tool offers very little leverage to push out a link on the side of the road. Otherwise I like the tool and have used most of its tools.May 2022 -- I lost the nut from one of the hinges. I contacted customer service to learn if I could buy a replacement or order one from some store (if I had the specs). Customer service sent me a new nut within a few days. I was blown away.I've used this tool from time to time over the 8 years I have had it. I always bring it with me and it serves me well. A couple of examples: a water bottle cage nut came loose enough on a ride to rattle -- this tool fixed it. This tool has the right sized Allen wrench to adjust my SRAM Force front derailleur cage.I would recommend it to a friend.

I already own Topeak's Mini-20 Pro, and I picked the Mini-18 Plus up to take along with my commuter bike.Like the Mini-20 Pro, the Mini-18 Plus is all-metal in construction, and its the size when folded flat is very compact. All of the tool tips are high quality and fit excellent in their respective fasteners. The chain tool detaches from the main body for easier usage, and the pin screw tool is precise and strong. It also comes with a small neoprene carrying bag so it won't bounce around in your pack. Sure, the Mini-20 Pro adds a small T10 tip and a couple more spoke wrenches for Mavic/Shimano spokes, but if your bike doesn't have those particular items to begin with, why carry tools that you'll never use? Other than that (and about $8) there's no major difference between the Min-18 Plus and the Mini-20, so if you don't need those extras you will be very satisfied with the Mini-18 Plus.

If your bike has many hex screws on it, this is the tool for you. There are a total of 9 Allen wrenches on this one, as well as flat, phillips, and one torx bit. It's crazy light, and very handy to have, if for nothing more than the chain tool, which is small, but functional. There's also two forms of spoke wrench and a couple tools (on on the chain tool, one as a fold out) that work as tire levers. The bottle opener seems a little silly; the tool is made lightweight and compact, but has a bottle opener? What, no corkscrew? It's a good quality tool, and will be ideal if your bike has mostly hex screws. Mine doesn't have so many hex screws, so for me it's a nice screwdriver, a chain tool, and a couple tire levers. On another note, be careful using the fold out tire tool, I managed to pinch a hole in my tube with it on the first use. I still prefer an 8mm box-end wrench for tire levering!A good tool, the jewel of which is the chain tool, but unless you need all the hex tools, look elsewhere.
