I’ve been using this electric hairbrush for a week or so now and I’m seeing good results.I have very thick Native American hair. After many years of self-clipping with a #2 guard (that’s very short), I decided to let my hair grow out just for a change and because, fortunately, I still can. I wore my hair very long when I was a teen and I’m now rediscovering how much work is involved in keeping it that way. It’s growing out very rapidly now and I’m remembering that, however I wake up in the morning, that’s how my hair stays. It can stick out a long way and just bounces back if I try to brush it. The only way to keep it in check, until it gets long enough to fall under its own weight is to completely wet it. On the flip side, over washing can make it dry and frizzy so then it needs to be tamed with coconut oil or hair serum. This brush works well to keep things in check between washes. It can be set to a range of temperatures from 250 to 410 degrees Fahrenheit. I find the 310 degree setting works well for me. Once heated, which takes about a minute, you basically use it as a “hair iron” and it can help to shape your locks. It works well and can calm the Wildman look somewhat between washes. I think it also helps to condition the hair by warming its natural oils to deeply infuse with the hair strands. I understand the brush can also be used for curling but that’s the polar opposite of what I need so I haven’t tested that theory.I’m impressed by this and can only see it becoming more useful in my hair care regime as my hair gets longer and thicker.Recommended.
