It's a starter drone for sure. It takes a bit of practice to get familiar with the functions, like buttons, uses for it.Assembly was basic, any hobbyist can figure them out. How the props go which way is clockwise and counter. The pros:- good starter drone.- easy to assemble.- quality of pictures and videos where mediocre.- wifi and fpv app is a nice featureThe cons:- very light, therefore light wind will blow this drone easily.- plastic for the prop guard gets easily warp that it affects the props.- one of the motors stopped working and had to replace it.- limited distance from transmitter to drone 50 meters or less the signal gets lost.- flight time of 8 to 10 mins- too big for home use but too small for outdoors.Recommendation:It's a starter drone that lacks power and wind resistance, good for practice and familiarization of flying styles and techniques.A bit pricey for all its features.

It was delivered 3 days after we put in the order. We select Prime products only. Prime only cost $79 a year and you don't have to wait for weeks or months to get the items.People commented that the battery doesn't last long. I have 1,200 Mamp battery and it was a tight fit, so I enlarge the area where the battery goes in using a drummel. As pro flyers recommend, I did not connect the camera and flew the Syma X5Sw doing touch and go and trimming for half an hour without replacing the big battery. Then I tested the video and with the big battery it eliminates the breaking effect. I was surprised how good the video(s) were using the bigger battery. This is not a pro camera and none are available for the toy (hobby) type drones. As expected, every 1 or 2 minutes, I ran into objects and crashed. To my surprise, no injuries.Drones normaly have different color for the front propellers to facilitate viewing the front direction. The undercarriage lights are pale and I am colorblind, so I used a red marker and applied it to both sides of the front props.Though a spare set of propellers comes with the package, I am about to order a set of props, they are inexpensive and same with the prop guards, nice to be ready for repairs.Enjoy your flight and soon you will be getting a bigger one!

If I could I give it less then once * I wouldI please do not buy this product and almost killed my family inside Are House.....OK first off let's start what it came in missing parts which one we supposed to return it back to Amazon my son that's only five years old fel in love with this product and he wanted to keep it so we went to the radio control shop and found a different control that might work with it for cheap The instruction said to charge the battery for an hour which we did after it was charged which mind you that this airplane was inside my sons room charging my son took it and put it on the bed which I went to go get the remote control to see if we can sync it together five minutes after I left out of the room my son came out screaming and crying that something caught on fire and as I ran into the room the room was full of smoke and chemical smell I hurried up and pull the comforter off the bed and ran and grab water and put The fire this product should be no longer available on Amazon because God for bid he could've killed my whole family in the house does not ever even a phone number to contact the manufacturer at some auto country company when I call to Amazon one of the representative said that there was problems with this helicopter shame on Amazon for knowing that there's problems with products and still selling them to consumers please buyer beware do not purchase this item if you read this review

Excelente precio/calidad. Ideal para empezar muy fácil de usar. Lo único malo es la duración de la baterias. Si se quiere divertir en realidad debe comprarse un pack de baterías extras.

First of all, let's be clear, this is a toy. It's fine to learn to fly quadcopters, and not spend too much money, but in my opinion it should cost about half of what it does. It's very lightweight although it seems to be tough enough to survive most crashes (I've had mine drop straight into the pavement, free fall from 75 feet or so, and it was unscathed). The controller seems to work pretty well, it's fairly precise in its controls and the range seems pretty good (again, pretty good for a toy). It has a couple of different control modes, including one called "headless" mode - which the instructions don't explain very well so I haven't messed with them (having enough challenge just flying it in the basic mode).Be aware, the slightest wind will affect this thing and even a slow breeze will need almost full control deflection, and even then it doesn't guarantee it won't keep it from blowing away into the neighbor's yard or possibly a nudist colony. Gusty breezes will make controlling it near impossible (especially if you are learning to fly it). Also should mention it is quite tricky to get the thing "trimmed out," in order to just hover in place. This should be done only in absolutely still air, like inside a gymnasium. The camera on mine would not connect to my smart phone. It doesn't help that the instructions are not the clearest or most detailed (translation from Chinese is poor). This is probably where this thing lost two stars. I have heard the wifi does not work well anyway. I took my camera off (which, incidentally, made the battery last much longer, and also improved the performance by making the vehicle lighter). I will probably just order an SD card camera from Syma if I want to take pictures with it.You have to be careful with this thing at first, if you just nail the throttle and leave it there it will zoom straight up and just keep going, and will likely end up on somebody's roof somewhere, or the highway where it will likely be run over by a large truck. In summary this is probably good for a first quadcopter to learn on, before moving up to a "serious" quad (something north of $1,000, say). Don't be too surprised if the camera does not function if you choose this model..

So getting the basics out of the way, the box is light, compact and well put together. The unit was safely packed, easy to open and well laid out as it should be. There is some small assembly required which is easy to do without even referring to the manual. The screws are tiny and not easy to get tighten but you don't want to over tighten as parts can break and you may need to replace or fix it. There is a small screwdriver in the kit. I bought additional batteries and a multi battery charger which is a must as it takes 1.0 hour to charge each time and lasts about 5 minutes of flight time.I first tried using the unit indoors and managed to hit every wall in the house which causes the thing to crash to the floor. It's very hard to get it just to hover, almost impossible in fact. As a new user in thinking time towards mastering the controller is going to be essential so don't expect to be a pro anytime soon. Anyone with PlayStation skills will have an advantage. It's a bit like the controller.First time outside I noticed it struggles in anything more that an a stiff breeze. The first time I used it, it took off over the house and landed in a tree above the fence dividing me from my next door neighbour. I had to get out a ladder to retrieve it. Fortunately the lights remain active even when the battery goes down so you can spot it in the dark. Next time was at the park, going high is ok if you have the room as the unit flies off and then the fight begins to regain control before it's gone. It flies super fast, really takes off with a surprising speed. I was actually surprised how fast this thing can go. I just watched a video about balancing the propeller so I will give that a try to see if it had a difference. When it crashes it's usually ok but sometimes the propeller motor will disengage. I found the way to fix it was to unscrew the housing under the propeller and squeeze together the cogs. This re engages the mechanism and off it goes. You can do this without unscrewing the cover but it's a little more pressure than I'm comfortable applying and I think it would break if done to hard.I used the camera but haven't made a video yet, I really need to learn to controll it with much more accuracy before I give Spielberg a run for his money or attempting to film the kids playing on the jungle gym. The remote is solid, nicely made and responsive there are small adjustments you can make to the rotation and left and right. I'm going to spend more time dialing in these adjustments to see if I can get it to hover straight.Overall it cool, fun and a great new style toy. I could see how you could really get into it and trade up to the ones at $6-800 or $1500. I'm not doing that until I can take this thing off and land it where I want it. I'm thinking I'm going to be going through a few of these before I get anywhere near that good.Any new user should be realistic, I bought this to fly around a room at a sales conference to show the future of retail and distribution. No way, I didn't even try as I didn't have the Experiance yet. Anyone thinking they can pick this up and be an expert in an hour needs to think again. For the money I'm giving it 5 starts. Fun fun fun.I'll keep trying. It's my new thing. LOL.
