Installation Instructions
1.To separate lock,insert the key and turn clockwise.remove key.pull two parts away form each other.
2.Insert front of the lock(side with key hole)through the trigger guard and behind trigger if possible.
3.Insert back of lock so that the outside edges of both parts match up.
4.Insert back of lock so that outside edges of both parts align.
5.Press the lock together.inspect for a tight,secure fit. If lock moves press parts together.

PIKA Trigger Keyed Gun Lock Fits Most Guns: I have other brands, but wanted one in black color, to make it easier yo know which key fits which lock, and preferred black. Pro's: Came with 2 keys, works, preferred key, was able. Cons: It works but, the ket hole is shape in a plain rectangular, so you don't know which way to enter the key, if it not fit, you need to. just flip it 180 degrees, kind slow annoyance; the rubber mid center piece is loose, pops off apart, too hard a rubber material, thus you need to simply hold it down, in order to lock it in place - whereas with other locks, that middle insert is more firmly in place, more flexible and more rubbery. The 2 keys themselves are not as string as a metal as would prefer, compared to other keys which are made of a stronger metal or steel, this one is a little bit weak, but works, just be careful not to use too much force, maybe keep the lock and clean and oiled. Otherwise, it works ok, does the job.

Its difficult to get the key into the lock, the machining is very poor. I will try and oil the heck out of it and see if it gets better. I was hoping to use this for quick access for home defense but I dont trust it to work in a hurry.

Many revolvers don’t have room for the locking pin to be installed behind the trigger, but if the pin is installed in front of the trigger, even with the lock tight and locked, you can still push the lock back so that it pushes the trigger and drops the hammer, rendering this lock useless.Will not work on a Ruger New Model Blackhawk, or any other Ruger with the XRN-3RED frame, or any other revolver where the trigger sits close to the rear of the trigger guard.
