The vertical rod too short? Yes, if like me your lens sits 2.5+ inches above the 15mm rails. Easy fix: replace the short screw that holds the Y part to the vertical rod with a longer screw. Put a spacer in between the rod and the Y part. I use a hex nut. Now it's perfect. You're welcome, Smallrig.

Smallrig is the best value-for-money rig component maker out there. Beautiful fit and finish, thoughtful design, well integrated systems, and priced for the independant filmmaker. What's not to like?

It’s almost perfect. I’ve read some reviews saying it doesn’t line up properly with the lens. Users need to make sure the rest of their rig components (i.e. rods and baseplates) are lined up as well. I almost had the same issue, but a little tweaking in the rest of the rig solved the problem right away. The only other issue I’ve had so far was what someone else mentioned, and that is the vertical rod (if set too close to the camera) can get in the way when trying to mount the rig to a tripod. Ultimately though it’s a solid product, and if used with the right set up can be very effective.

The one problem I have with this is that if you get a rig pushed the camera up higher so you can put a matte box on it the rod won't extend the Y up high enough to support the lens. So this is only going to be useful on rigs very close to the rails.

Works as it should. I really like SmallRig products. They have great accessories at an affordable price with cinema gear.

The best lightweight 15mm lens support. Easy to install and easy to remove unlike some other brands' support. Been using it on my Cabrio 20-120mm lens and it just works.

Works great on my rig.Not much to comment on, other than I like this design better than the ones that you have to fully slide off. Make sure to click "filter reviews" and search reviews based on the model you're viewing, since several design options for these lens supports are offered under the same page.Well built, solid and stays in place. Sure beats spending $100 on the Tilta or other options at a more reasonable cost and just as effective in keeping long lenses supported through their entire range. I've uploaded some pics used with my setup and heavy metal SLR Magic lens and heavy Anamorpot 1.33x40 metal anamorphic adaptor.

I looked at several 15mm long lens support brackets and realized it needs to slip onto the rods rather than the rods inserting into it otherwise you have to disassemble your rig every time (not an option). This fit snugly on the rods and provides to structure to reduce stress on the camera mount AND prevent the camera from twisting on its 1/4-20 threaded connection - at a great price
