I am not that savvy using this but i do agree on some comments. Its design gives us limited ways to use this. So i plan on splitting it in two and help chill water on a swamp cooler. Mine arrived in perfect conditions. I wanted it to run on my Ryobi 18v 800 Watt inverter on tool battery (300 watts max on Tool battery) and it went over 300 watts. I did get it to make some frost but hot side needs to be running on icy cold water. It is worth it but I think you need to make some adjustments for better functionality. The price was great so I can’t really complain.

The quality of the product is quite poor. After the third use, the metal container in which the heat flow occurs started to leak. It costs too much compared to the details of the design and the quality of the product.

Please be very careful using it. Seems the pplz installing the unit don’t know which side is hot or cold. I burn my hand grabbing it.!! Total fail

Hot side is connected back to cold side via clamps that holds water blocks -- idiotic....so there is a direct and indirect transfer of generated heat right back to the cold side via clamps and also hot air... This design does not isolate cold side from hot....

This review is for the six chip version. I feel it is well made with high quality components. The fan is a little noisy would be my only (Albeit Minor) complaint. FYI Peltier devices have a difficult relationship of the differential temperature and supply current. These devices are not the most efficient at their maximum currents and they have lots of criteria to keep them efficient. With the test jig I built today I believe this unit will suite my purpose to cool 12 35AH SLA batteries in a shed that the ambient temperatures reaches 90 degrees F. I would like to keep the batteries below 80 degrees with a target temp of 75 degrees without installing an air conditioner. With the Peltier devices connected 3S2P and about 12V - 18V applied to them, the driven air is easily 55 degrees with an ambient temp of 72 degrees on the radiator. I believe that I can achieve a 20 degree differential which will get me below 80 degrees. The power consumed is not terrible at 80W-120W which is considerably lower than an air conditioner would be. (I purchased another one after running it for several hours.)

Well as I figured the heat sink in not large enough to cool the heat side properly. After testing it with different air flow rates, the fan can’t even push enough air to get it to cool below 40F. Not worth it. Better off buying the parts separate and putting it on a proper heat sink like I will have to do.
