Its features three 6mm thick copper heat pipes connected to the base using heat-pipe direct contact (HDC) technology and a 60mm dual ball bearing PWM fan. In addition, its heatsink fins have wave-shaped design that works efficiently with the included air duct to help quickly wick away heat for exceptional CPU cooling performance.

Don't get me wrong. The cooler works in a 2u form factor server. The problem with the cooler is the fan. At near 5000 rpms, the fan is screaming. BUT, if you place your hand on the other side of the heatsink, you will not feel much air. I don't know where they get the 28 cfm but it is not at 5000 rpms. I ordered a different fan, Noctua, for this heat sink. At the combined price, I could have gotten a much better heatsink. SO keep those things in mind when purchasing.

I recommend this cooler, if you don't mind also having to buying a quieter Noctua 60mm fan for it.Pros:- 2U- Solid build quality.- Keeps my 65W i7-4790s @ 4.0GHz within safe temperatures. (runs full tilt 24/7 as a bare metal cloud compute node.)Cons:- Loud stock fan (but it's meant for servers, which are usually locked away in a datacenter, so go figure)- I replaced the stock 60mm fan with a Noctua one, and it's now whisper quiet while still staying within safe temps.

This is a good cpu cooler for servers and high end workstations. I tested it on an Hp Workstation and the fan was not loud not like the dynatron cpu cooler fan which is loud. This cpu cooler is top notch. Next test for this cpu cooler will be on an Asus motherboard.Update 7/5/2018I installed the Silverstone cpu cooler on the Asus motherboard and it keeps the cpu cooler than the stock Intel cpu cooler that I had installed and is very quiet and was very easy to install.

Small but decent cooler. Was hoping for lower CPU temperature compared to the stock Intel cooler, but there was no change. Maybe it would do better in a case with better front to back airflow.
